I do not know why other reviews said that it was big enough for a guinea pig, only 4 months old baby can fit through the openings. None of the adult girls guinea pigs fit through that opening. The houses I got had openings much smaller than advertised. They are useless now due to that. Besides that, only one of them was made of fresh hay, the other three were made out of yellow, dust smelling straw. I would NOT recommend it for a GUINEA PIG.
The openings are too small for fully grown guinea pigs. My piggies have to struggle to get out. They at least like to chew on it, so not a complete waste of money.
My hamster Rusty was so confused at first when he woke up and saw he was inside a new hide, but he got used to it pretty fast, plus its bigger than the last one I had for him! Now he has more room to sleep & eat!
It's a fine hay feeder if you flip it upside down and have it stuffed besides that it's to small for my rabbit and the rabbit doesn't like it. I suggest this for small pets just know it won't fit an average 5-10 pound rabbit. Probably will fit smaller buns lol besides that it's a fine product
This products advertises for Guinea Pigs but the holes in the medium hut are so small my guiney pigs couldn't even get their heads through. Only good for rats or hamsters!
Finding items for a Syrian hamster is hard. Most hamster items are sized for mice. I believe dwarf hamsters need big items too. This straw hut fits my female Syrian hamster who is big! The 2 entrances are great size and it’s tall enough that she’s not squished. This is too small for Guinea pigs and rabbits. Hamsters, gerbils, and mice will fit great. Also chewing on it will not hurt them.
Panda loves his new hut where he can eat his food in peace and safety~ He loves to chew on the hut and zooms through the openings!! The hut can bigger than I thought and it surprisingly worked out well for my tiny hamster. We love it! (apologies for blurry pics, he’s camera shy)
I was looking for an enclosed hut for my pet rats but this has an open bottom thus leaving them to rest on the bars of their cage. Not happy with this purchase.
Perfect for my Syrian hamster, she incorporated it into her tunnel system!
I have two female guinea pigs who are on the larger side. They love hiding and and munching on this hide! It is definitely too small for both to go in at once, but can easily fit one pig at a time. If you have baby pigs they could probably fit together.
