How much water should be used to fully reconstitute one nugget? How long should it soak before feeding? The directions are not specific. And how do you calculate the fat% as fed… canned food fat % as fed is different than what is on the can.

due to food allergies vet recommended a vanity protein so I chose rabbit

Although I did not purchase from Chewy yet (went to local pet store and this was recommended), tried the rabbit with my dog who has been on, and needed Apoquel for

Although I did not purchase from Chewy yet (went to local pet store and this was recommended), tried the rabbit with my dog who has been on, and needed Apoquel for years, according to previous vet. She licks her paws underneath and licks back up to behind/ halfway up her legs. She was just getting worse. Itching herself on her sides, ears, and head, and I was like this is it, she's getting worse. I took her to the vet and found out she also had a yeast infection, and felt horrible, and like this Apoquel was not working anymore, and even during winter months with snow and cold weather the same thing. Now she's been on this food a little over a week now (I am mixing w/ her lamb dog food to transition) and she loves loves it. No licking feet so far and she waits to be fed and she's hardly ever been excited to eat like this in a long time. I also (from Chewy) got all rabbit treats as well w/ no added beef, chicken etc. Stopped bully treats. I read reviews and I am not sure of the ingredients change, but I cut it up, use warm water and let it soak, I use goats milk for her on a side bowl, then add the rabbit to her previous food so that she gets more rabbit protein then the lamb etc. It’s adding steps to my day, like making an extra cup of coffee in the morning, etc. But, so far I am pleased with her looking good, no feet licking so far, and knowing she is feeling better it’s worth it. Our new vet is basically saying her issue is a food allergy and he recommended a vanity protein. My dog will stand by her bowl and wine to be fed. She was on an antibiotic due to the yeast infection but the Frido smell she usually had from time to time is gone and she seems happy with her rabbit. I am sure the antibiotic helped as well, of course, but I have not given her Apoquel in 8 days now, and I put an A on the calendar to indicate no Apoquel. I recommend if your dog has these symptoms, try another protein like rabbit, kangaroo, venison, or duck. I chose the rabbit and I am sure my pups is glad I did.

hard and not good anymore

all of the primal nugget has same flavor. They changed the formula and it’s not good anymore. My dog hates it now.

Be Warned...New Formula

My dog has allergies to proteins and can only have rabbit or venison. Been buying this for 13 years and most of that time was from Chewy's. We forked each piece,

My dog has allergies to proteins and can only have rabbit or venison. Been buying this for 13 years and most of that time was from Chewy's. We forked each piece, covered with water or broth and refrigerated for next day use. I can't believe Primal changed their formula to this...The new formula is hard like a rubber chew toy! Have to use a butcher knifes toilet try and chop up. My dog can barely gnaw them and ends up gulping down pieces. Also noticed she has rotating constipation or diarrhea which is not normal for her! The previous bag was 14 oz and could't fill the airtight container so I left some in the bag. The new 14oz formula doesn't fill the same air tight container meaning this food its extremely dense thus proving my point. I will never buy your food again unless you revert to the old recipe.

Loves it! prefers in replacement of the Primal beef

Malakai now won't eat the Primal Beef that was his favorite. Got a sample of rabbit at pet store and now he won't stop eating it plus eats more so may have to change

This was a Great product, until they changed the formula :-(

I have bought this for years, on my last order I noticed the package had changed, not only that but the formula. It is a completely different color and nobody wants
