A standard measuring cup typically holds 2-ounces of Freeze-Dried Raw Pronto. As such, the 7-ounce package holds approximately 3.5 cups, the 16-ounce package holds approximately 8 cups, and the 25-ounce package holds approximately 12.5 cups.

SCRUMPTIOUS

My cherished 4 y.o. German Shepard, Rhodesian ridgeback mix, Rebel loves his Primal freeze dried lamb. He has it for breakfast and as a "cookie" snack---much healthier than most biscuits. I also bring it to the dog park as treats for his 2 best friends---gorgeous Alaskan malamutes, Zevon (yes, named after Warren--"Werewolves of London") and his mom, Tino who love this lamb recipe. Excellent, quality ingredients are an investment in their health.

Quality ingredients

I like that this raw freeze dried lamb formula has limited quality ingredients! The kibble sized nuggets are a little harder than other similar brands. I took one star off because my dog doesn’t prefer them as much as the large square nuggets, same brand, same formula, same prep but the texture is different. I suppose to my dog even after hydration they maintain a different texture. Your dog may love the texture and you can’t go wrong with the quality ingredients!

dog thinks it's a treat

This is the clear winner after a long food journey trying premium kibble, several well-known raw and fresh brands, as well as the larger freeze-dried Primal. My dog loves it so much, it's the first "treat" that's ever held his attention during walk training. Easy to measure, serve (we do dry), and travel with. He has perfect poos every single day and seems to be in amazing health. He's also not losing a ton of weight like he did on a different raw brand (eating the same number of calories!). Our 20lb dog is on a vet-mandated highish calorie diet after aforementioned weight loss so we get 4 large bags a month. Only downside is that it's obviously pricey, but it's worth it for us to see him enjoying his food so much, and doing so well on it.

My Bernese loves this stuff!

She’s so excited for breakfast now. We use a different flavor for dinner time! She has a sensitive tummy and chicken allergies, but we’ve had no issues since switching to this!

Normally feed my dog honest kitchen, which is good. But I think she prefers Primal. I wish they sold bigger bags, kind of expensive though.

Our dogs love this

This product is easy to prepare. I rehydrate it for them although it is not required. They are very enthusiastic about this food.

My dogs are excited to eat

I have 2 toy poodles, one of which is extremely picky. She was never excited to eat. She is now. She devours this food. I did a lot of research on the best food for dogs. Freeze-dried seems to be the best. I was looking for the best and also affordable. Primal is it. I feed them the lamb and both love it. My other poodle is 11 years old and since she has been eating this, she has the energy of a puppy. She started playing more and is happier.
