Why can't this be for cats?

This supplement contains Propylene Glycol that should not be given to cats. If given to cats, it can cause potential health risks.

At 150 calories per ounce, this flavored (vanilla) dietary supplement provides additional nutrition to animals that may be under stress. Either administrated “as is” to animals with decreased appetite or top-dressed over the animal’s normal diet, the product will help maintain nutrient balances in convalescing, underweight, lactating and working animals for their overall health.

Gooey Mess...

Goopy, sticky and my dogs did not like it. Would not touch their food with this on it. I'm sure there are some dogs that like it, but good old tuna worked better

Goopy, sticky and my dogs did not like it. Would not touch their food with this on it. I'm sure there are some dogs that like it, but good old tuna worked better than this did to entice my 18.5 year old dog to eat.

Adverse reaction - shivers and vomiting

At first we thought this product was going to be the answer to our prayers. A great way to give out kidney dog low-protein calories. But, as soon as we started giving

At first we thought this product was going to be the answer to our prayers. A great way to give out kidney dog low-protein calories. But, as soon as we started giving it to him, his behavior changed. Eventually we were able to pinpoint it to this supplement - shortly after taking it, he gets restless and antsy; then he gets the chills/shivers uncomfortably (regardless of body temperature); and within 2 hours of ingesting, he’s vomits it back up. He was not vomiting before we started this supplement, and he has not vomited since we discontinued it. There are no side effects listed and no adverse reactions listed anywhere on the internet, so it seems completely safe. But it was definitely not safe in my dog.
