What is the shelf life of this product? How do I determine the best by or the expiration date as I cannot find any info except for the lot number? Is it safe to use even if it is outdated?

Generally, the lot number is a Julian date. The first digits are the last 2 digits of the year it was manufactured. The last three numbers of the lot number represent the day of the year it was made. For example, 24003 would represent Jan 3rd, 2024. The product is good for 2 years from the date of manufacture. It can be used after that timeline, but it does lose some efficacy. It’s best to discard and not try to guess how much to give the animal.

What’s the difference between this one and the regular probios powder that’s in the container?

The Intelliflora comes in individually-sized packets for daily use, while the Dispersible comes in a jar to be separated into teaspoons.

Amazing for my GSD

My German shepherd dog suffers from chronic diarrhea, but this has her right for over a week now. I tried the pill version of this before but I did not find them very effective. We also tried Purina pro plan for a month and that gave her more diarrhea. The dosage I use is one packet on her food every other day.

This works for dogs with loose stools, not caused my parasites or food.

I have been using several other brands of probiotics that weren't working. I've tried this one on my 3 dogs as needed, it works the best and the price is much better

Is good for gut flora restoration. Best probiotic out there IMO because it does not contain brewers yeast or strep species unlike other brands.

I was skeptical about just how much of a difference probiotics would make. My dog has Cushing's Disease and severe arthritis, and is on many supplements and vitamins, and eats a home-cooked vet formulated diet. Prior to using the probiotic his stools had a deep orange tint from the turmeric capsules he takes. After beginning the probiotics they are the normal chocolate brown color. This tells me his body is absorbing more of the nutrients, etc. The probiotics also help with any stomach upset caused by heartworm medication, etc. Happy here!
