I see it is made in the USA but is this with USA-sourced ingredients? If not US, where please?

Answer by ChewyApr 07, 2020
The kelp is sourced from the North Atlantic – Nordic waters and also North America / Nova Scotia. Glycerin is derived from Palm that is sourced from outside the US. No ingredients are sourced from China.

Can these be easily broken? I have several dogs and I see that 17oz of these are priced the same as 12 ozs of the smaller ones.

I give FIVE STARS to CHEWY custoner service for their help after purchasing this item. If you have an older dog w missing teeth, this is going to be next to impossible for them to eat - it was even hard to snap them in half or saw them down. (I can see how it could really help w plaque.. I get it. ) BUT w out a lot of tooth strength or control, it felt more like a choking hazard. She was really drawn to the smell/taste. Bummer.

Awesome item when you look at the science of how they help out your dogs teeth preventing tartar and plaque from forming and helping scrub it off. Appreciated how my dogs devoured them but 1 of 4 of my dogs got SEVERELY sick. He formed a large mass on top of his thyroid and now has issues breathing. He is 14 so I can’t put him through surgery. This works for most dogs but your dog could be the 1 dog that this harms!

Both my dogs enjoy these, and they are helping keep their teeth clean. We do still brush their teeth once or twice a week, but it's not like a solid brushing, just what they will let us do. The dental bones are picking up the slack and do not require cajoling.

My vet recommended Plaque off to keep their teeth clean. Not only do they have shinny teeth, butt they love the bacon flavor. My sheep dog used to cry and carry on whenever I eft the house. Now I give their plaque off along with their favorite chewies and they are quiet when I leave.

My dog thought these smelled great but the hard texture had me pretty worried (he regularly eats rolled fish skin treats and dried duck feet). I don’t really buy dental treats but got these to go along with brushing my 13 year old boy’s teeth, for something special. I’m incredibly paranoid about my dog choking so I always watch him eat treats, and unfortunately these sounded almost too hard to chew safely (there’s no give or flex to them). But that’s just my opinion!
