One Star Review Drama on the Smell 'Mint and Death'... I Had to Know

I’ll admit, I bought this after reading a bunch of one-star reviews and one that said it smelled like “mint and death.” Naturally, I was intrigued. Happy to report

I’ll admit, I bought this after reading a bunch of one-star reviews and one that said it smelled like “mint and death.” Naturally, I was intrigued. Happy to report it actually doesn’t smell bad to me at all. If anything, it reminds me of earthy chicory root which makes sense, because that’s what’s in it. I had to dig to find the scoop, so the smell lingered on my hands even after washing. I can still tell it’s there, but it doesn’t bother me. My horse was immediately interested and ate it without hesitation, which is always a win. The only real adventure was having to dig through the entire 3 lb bucket to find the scoop. Still haven't found it, but I'm optimistic it's in there somewhere. Only downside so far is the size, 3 lbs at 2 scoops (40g) per day will be about 30-35 days. Glad I investigated the review drama, because my horse is loving it!

An expensive psyllium

I used this once for the horses. I went back to Sand Clear or other psyllium that I could afford.

Wanted the Butipearl ingredient

This product does smell as the other reviews mention but my horse eats it no problem. Cannot smell it whe. Container is closed or when inside premade supplement

This product does smell as the other reviews mention but my horse eats it no problem. Cannot smell it whe. Container is closed or when inside premade supplement containers. Bought it because he might have leaky gut syndrome and wanted something affordable with the Butipearl Z EQ ingredient. Have not used long enough to speak to if it has helped. Chewy did deliver super fast.

Helpful for our horse with free fecal water syndrome

It is peppermint flavor and easy to feed
