I ordered it on December 28, 4 times I gave them the vet info, they kept saying they could not get a hold of the vet, yet I was talking to the vet and the vet said they did not want to fill it because I needed to snap the pills in half because my dog was too big for the smaller size and too small for the next. If the vet is saying it’s ok, and I have been giving him his brothers same meds (vet oked), breaking them in half so he gets one and a half and it is working, fill it. Much better to let them run out. And I am sorry, a 10% discount for my time and trouble doesn’t get it. Tomorrow will be one month and I still don’t have it. I am a little angry still.

Fawn most likely had a nerve knicked during spay surgery at a shelter, she’s the second rescue thats happened to in my life. So I have to give her proin daily to control it. Its fantastic! Shes really deep and shy and peeing herself is very obviously embarrassing to her, when she wales up wet she will jump up and go hide. My poor girl. When we give her proin every night before bed she has zero accidents. The only problem is dosing with this medication. Shes an 80lb white German Shepherd and supposedly her dose is 145mg, but the vet said with this med its trial and error till you get the dose right. And he was right!! But remember I buy the extended release so its a bit higher - but I take a 145mg pill and cut it into 6 small pieces! All she needs is one - so her actual dose is about 25mg. When I gave her the whole 145mg the first day by the doctors orders, Fawn couldnt get up, couldnt walk, couldnt eat or drink or even open her eyes bc her third eyelid was sooo exposed. It was terrifying and we immediately cut the pills up to give her the smallest dose possible and that ended up being about 25mg. So yes it works, she’s still a baby and will need to take this for life, just like our previous German Shepherd who lived on it daily for 14 years. Side effects could include weight gain so exercise is a must.

I will not shop with Chewy again, they made me mail in an actual prescription and then promptly lost it, it took us around 10 days to get our prescription. I found out that I could have mailed it registered one day mail for reimbursement against your order total only after a week of back and forth with customer service. Thankfully now I know that my dog doesn't need this prescription constantly but imagine if it was something critical. These days you have to provide email, mailing address, phone number and full name they won't talk to you without this information and if you talk to different departments you have to provide this information multiple times. I am appalled at how dysfunctional this experience has been. I

I made a mistake and had the order sent to my summer address. I called and they sent me another bottle to my winter address without charge. I told them it was my fault and I’d gladly pay. They said no. Prion works well for my female dog. Without it she wets her bed. With it, she has no accidents.

Works Wonderfully

Within less than 2 weeks, a very noticeable difference in our sweet girl, she's 11 now and had been spayed at 7 weeks old at a rescue shelter. After 2 1/2 months of use, we've only noticed a very small leak a few times, these were times when we had been out for 3 hrs or more. This has been an absolute miracle to us, this medication and prayers to Jesus for our precious girl, Tiny.

Proin absolutely worked but it came with side effects for sure. I have a 14 year old mix that has some liver failure. Proin caused my dog to have high blood pressure, constant panting, constant pacing, which resulted in destructive behavior. She could never settle down and couldn't rest. She kept us up all night. She would walk through the house at night and get onto anything and everything. Note that she was on proin for 1.5 months. It became so bad that we had to start closing our bedroom door. She would bump her head against our door, constantly chew on her bed, very strange behavior. Im not saying not to try it because every dog is different but for us, the incontinence was better than the side effects. We consulted a holistic vet which was cheaper than you'd think and we started chinese concentrated crystal stone. As we weened her off the proin, we added the concentrated crystal stone and it worked. The other symptoms went away. She sleeps through the night, doesn't pant, and is more relaxed. She's been on the holistic meds for two weeks and so far so good. She rests well, no panting, and it doesn't impact her kidneys and liver the way proin does. I should also point out that the proin cost me 100 bucks for 30 days and the crystal stone is about 60. You have options but ultimately, it depends on your dogs reaction.
