About This Item

Details

Proin Extended-Release is prescribed by your veterinarian to help control urinary incontinence in dogs due to urethral sphincter hypotonus, a weakening of the muscle in the urethra. It works by helping to tighten the bladder and urethral muscles to help prevent urine leaking and accidents. With all the same efficacy as Proin Chewable Tablets, these patented extended-release tablets are designed for once-a-day dosing and deliver a controlled release mechanism for steady absorption.

Proudly sourced directly from the manufacturer or their approved distributor. Guaranteed genuine and backed by the manufacturer.

Emma feels great!

Proin ER has saved my 10 year old Shep mix from waking up wet. Emma is such a great girl & she would wake up with her bed wet & looking like she was in trouble. Of course she wasn't, took her to her vet who said spayed female dogs often have this problem. He recommended Proin ER & she has been dry from day one. Now I understand Proin ER may be unavailable. I asked Chewy to check with my vet to see what other medication would be available for her. I am waiting to hear.

Works great

My 11 year old rat terrier started having incontinence issues at night and she was so embarrassed. It was infrequent but when she peed on our daughters friend during a sleepover I knew I had to talk to the vet. Has worked wonders and no side effects.

Made my dog restless

I’m sure this medicine works well for some dogs, but not mine. It was recommended by my vet for new onset urinary incontinence. I have a 14 year old mini aussie (spayed female). I gave it to her three evenings in a row and every evening after I gave it with dinner, she became restless. She just panted and paced and wouldn’t lay down. Normally, all she does is lay around. She seemed stressed and uncomfortable. I stopped giving it to her. And it didn’t help the incontinence at all, but again, only gave it for three days.

Works Great

Our 14 - 15 year old Dash/Pap mix has been on this for about a year or more for incontinence. It works great -- I'd say about a 95% improvement in urine accidents. Make sure to give it every day at about the same time. She's exhibited no side effects and we do give it with a meal. Definitely worth it!!!

My 12 year old lab couldn’t hold her urine I started giving her this medication and it is under control. Also it’s much cheaper buying from chewy.

Extreme caution

Please do your research and speak to your vet before giving this. I gave one dose to my dog over the weekend and we almost lost her. Within 2 hours, we were at the emergency clinic. The emergency vet said this is a ongoing issue with this medication and has killed several dogs.

Proin ER

This once a day medicine is convenient, however it doesn’t stop the leaking toward the end of the 24 hour period. However, it may work perfectly for other dogs. We will probably have to go back to 3 pills a day.

Incontinence under Control!!

My vet placed my 14 year old dog one Proin ER when she was showing signs of incontinence. She had gotten to the point where when she was sound asleep at night she would urinate & not realize it. We have been on Proin ER for a month & a half now & we've only had maybe one small accident!! i would definitely talk to your vet is your dog is having issues.

Great product!

My three year old female Auzziedoodle was having incontinence issues which is usually a problem for much older dogs. My vet prescribed Proin ER and she has been on it for three months now with no issues. I am so thankful this product works and I don't have to worry especially at night about her.
