I ordered this harness for my 12 lb terrier. It fits great. It's easy to get on. Literally takes about 15 secs. I love that it has velcro. Hopefully it will hold up for a long time. I would have given 5 stars but there are a couple of negatives. I use a thin lease for my little dog. There are two rings that you attach the leash to. I wish the rings were thinner. I tried using just one ring but then it doesn't feel balanced. I can get the leash attached but it just about fits. Also when she shakes the two rings hit each other and it makes for a pretty loud noise. Doesn't seem to bother her though. Overall I am very happy with the harness and I highly recommend it.
Functional but small

We have an 8 week old labradoodle puppy that is about 10 lb. Based on reviews I ordered the extra large. While it is still a bit big on him, given that he is only 10 lb I certainly would not recommend the extra large for any pup over 20 lbs. It is soft and comfortable, he is not enticed to chew on it and took really well to it right away. It looks nice and the fabric and stitching are sturdy. My only negatives would be that he has worn it less than a week and the velcro overlap from tightening it has already snagged up the fabric and it looks terrible. Also, there is really no room for adjustment with this style except for the Velcro, so that was a bummer.
Good cushy harness

This is a good harness for my 9-yr-old Dachshund. It's different from my previous one in that you have to pop the front legs through the holes, but she's used to it. I think she likes it better than having the old harness pushed over her head. I like the velcro closure and the double-ring on the latch. It doesn't restrict her and is a little thicker (warmer) than the previous harness I used.
Good comfortable harness

My one year old maltese/terrier mix tolerates wearing this harness very well. He is "in between" sizes so I have to overlap the strap at bit to make it snug. This means that an unused section of velcro rests against the material of the vest and ends up pulling/fraying the harness material. If I find a piece of velcro to attach to the unused portion, this would stop the fraying.
The Grand Patience of Chewy!!

We went around and around trying to find the right size for our dog. Finally decided the large was going to be fine. Here's the thing with Puppia Vest Harnesses: They attach these giant D-rings to the back of the vest, which is great if your dog does cliff climbing, but are a bit much walking around the block. The rings do not accomodate the small dog leash latch at all. Also, every time Irie did her 'body shake', it sounded like castanets -- very intrusive, especially at 6 in the morning. We decided to get another type harness for our Irie -- and Chewy, as always, is patient and wonderful and considerate and all around lovely.
Why so many problems with size?

When I rescued my toy multipoo she came with a Puppia harness and I loved it, the velcro made it even more secure. I wanted another one for her and my maltease boy. I received them in the mail today and so disipointed both didn't fit.
After reading so many reviews about the sizing I ordered anyway. Why so many problems with the size? I measured them and oredered in for sm dogs insted of large dogs. I think the product is a good one but you are looseing business quickly because so many of the sizes aren't right or they change. So sad
cute and comfortable

I have a little 10 pound terrier mix I just adopted. We got her a medium. It fits pretty well. It might be a teeny bit on the big side but..she's skinny and I wonder if it will shrink in the wash. I think a smaller size would be too snug. She doesn't mind wearing it and it's cute as a button!
wish i could use it

puppia ritefit small size was too big then xs size of this one is way too small. Be sure to pay attention to the sizes when buying, they change depending on the harness, not consistent sizing with the brand. Chewy CS helped with the issue great.

This vest is terrific! I tried two other vests from other companies and while each of them fit her fine around her middle, the neck opening on each one was too large and stuck out too far from her chest. My dog's chin would get caught up in it and she couldn't get used to wearing either one. She chewed one of the neck seams apart in 4 minutes. When I received this vest from Chewy, I put it on her and it fit her perfectly - she was comfortable in it right away. There was no "getting used to it" time. She's a Havanese mix and she weighs 12 pounds. The Medium fits her perfectly. I'm sure I'll order at least one more in another color. Thank you, Chewy!
Great for a dog that pulls

I've been looking for a harness forever! I've tried them all my dog can either sneak out of them or they are beyond difficult to get on. This one is perfect make sure you measure your dog because the sizing runs small my pug who weighs 20 pounds is an xl .
