Easy to put on and comfortable for Honey
I bought my puppy this in. Small and she just grew out of it so I bought a Medium. Even though her measurements are between the two sizes, it is easy to secure by tightening the Velcro. It is also very easy for her to step into and secure with the Velcro and the buckle. We also have a collar on her as well as a short leash guard strap just in case she gets out of her harness, so the collar is still attached to her leash.
Love this harness!
Finally,! After much trial and error we landed on a harness that hugs the girls and they can’t wriggle out. The step-in design is easier than over-the-head and the Velcro closure keeps it secure around the belly. I only wish the buckle at the neck was adjustable or it would get 5 stars. Now the girls are safe on leash (supervised) in the back yard, and maybe even ready to venture around the neighborhood. Thanks so much to Chewy for being able to return or donate the “not so good” ones!
Best harness ever
Everybody complains these harnesses run small. I was hoping they were right. My dog is a teacup yorkey, 2 pounds. All of the harnesses and collars we bought, even though they say extra small are too big. This harness Fitz perfect this is actually the first and only harness or collar. I found that actually fits my teacup yorkie.
soft Velcro/ snap harness
I really liked the one I had that slipped over her head but wanted something that didn’t have to go over head because it scares her. Got the same brand etc but turns out the small was too small and the medium fit but the neck stretches out so now she can put a leg through the neck area. Just not the best design .
Back clip Puppia harness
I ordered the x-sm size for our 4 month old chihuahua puppy. It is loose on him but it works for 2 purposes: introduced him to harness/ leash and gave him distractions like being out and about in his dog bag, restaurants, people, fellow dogs, car travel etc. I keep close eyes on him in case he works his way out of the “ jacket”. Which serves as a toy for him to figure out things in a safe environment.
Too large
This vest is very well made and very nice. The problem is that the sizing isn't accurate--my dog's chest measurement is 27" and the vest is about 2" too big for her. I will have to fix it by overlapping and stitching the material to make it fit. The vest description says it fits 26.8" to 27.6" so it should have fit better than it does.
Puppies vest
We love this harness and so does our pup. Any pull is around his chest, not his neck and we dont have to put it on over his head.
Good harness
I’ve had a number of these for my dogs. I like that they are step in, soft and well built. I got an xl for my Australian terrier that is about 23 months pds and very solid. He looks good in camouflaged.
Puppies vest harness
Fits like it was special made for him & he acts like it is so much more comfy than the harness he has been using. I will be ordering another one in different color - maybe two!
Seems to run small
In my picture, the XS puppia vest is on the left. On the right is a small vest of another brand. To me the puppia vest runs small and there are no ways to adjust it to make any allowances for growth. In no time I will have to buy another harness for my Morkie. But she is way too small for the harness on the right. I wish there were adjustable straps on this vest.
