This treat is not for training and nearly unable to break apart. This product is not a soft jerky at all. It is more like bully stick bites. I actually had to request a refund due to this reason as it can be a choking hazard.
Got these in the beef and duck. My dog loves them. I love they are so few ingredients and they fit well in dog puzzle toys
Usually like this brand’s products, but not not these jerky treats. They are more like raw hides, which is a choking hazard for dog that tend to just swallow food rather than chew it (like my english bulldogs). I have two bulldogs that love them bc what dog doesn’t love beef, it they are not safe and pose a huge choking hazard no matter what size dog you have. They are extremely dry, hard and oily/greasy. Very difficult to break in small pieces and shatter into sharp shards. Even giving my dogs the little broken pieces, they will try to swallow whole and it makes them choke a little. I try to rehydrate them in boiling water to get them softer and a little more chewy and then cut them up using kitchen scissors. They still don’t get super soft, but at least it’s a little easier for my dogs to eat them. Even then, what an annoying process to have to do, plus it makes the jerky give off a stinky smell. At least the soaking in boiling water also washes off some of the grease (see photo).
Swimming in grease, thick slabs of beef and impossible to break up. So hard that I wouldn’t dare give it to a dog for fear of choking. A total waste of money.
Love these natural, single-ingredients treats! They have a strong smell and are absolutely irresistible to my picky-pup. They are her #1 favorite and a treat I feel good about giving to her :)
The pure bites beef jerky is beef esophagus/gullet. I previously bought this treat in-store and my dog loved it, so I decided to buy it again on chewy. The product looks fresh. A few of the pieces may be greasier than others, but I do not find it to be an issue. Sometimes I will take a tissue and wipe off any excess fat. The smell is distinct but not overwhelming. For anyone wondering, there were about 23 pieces in my bag, and they were around 3.5 inches. These treats are more like quick snacks, so I will often hide the treat to keep my dog busier searching for it first.
My pups loved these, but they are greasy and stinky.
My dog did not like them very weird smell and she struggled to eat them
My dog goes crazy for these treats, starts jumping around if he sees me grab the bag. He is a large dog, about 100lbs and it takes him a couple minutes to eat one. I could see these potentially not being ideal for small dogs.
I try to only get him single ingredient treats so it’s either hit or miss, I’ve reordered these several times and he still loves em
