Each production is slightly different which affects the basic guaranteed analysis such as protein, fat, fiber and moisture. Most of this is driven by the moisture and that varies by season and by weather and general production practices. For this reason there is a minimum and maximum guarantee on all pet food bags. The last production run the average logged protein value was 21.6% and fat 10.8% with a moisture level of 7.6% which would be based on ‘as fed’ basis. Dry matter would be 23.4% and 11.7% respectively when moisture is taken to 0%. Please remember these percentages vary production to production.

My 14 year old Bugg, Elvis, needed to be on a Liver Supplement and the vet recommended changing his diet to a low protein food made with fish, poultry and eggs as well as sweet potatoes to promote his Liver health. I found this food and thought it would be perfect. I have now switched both of my dogs, I also have a 10 year old Bulldog named Penelope, onto this food. With her getting a bit older as well I felt it would be best to get a head start on her liver and kidney health as well. Both of them LOVE the taste, and the smaller kibble is extremely easy for both of them to eat. Their stool has maintained a solid, but not dry, consistency. I am very happy with this product!

We had to do a very slow transition to this food, and my pup had soft stool for a couple of days—but once she adjusted, she's been doing great! The kibble size is absolutely perfect for my toy breed, and it mixes in really well with her wet food for Kong stuffing. She’s not usually picky, but she genuinely seems to enjoy this one. Our vet said she needed to lose a little weight and after integrating this food into her diet and using the kibble for treats, she's back to an ideal weight. That wasn't our goal for this food, but it was a nice surprise! I love the quality ingredients and thoughtful packaging. No complaints at all—would absolutely buy again!

This product impressed me - whenever I give my dogs new food, I always transition it slowly into their regular meal - for a few reasons. 1. Incase it's something that will upset their stomach, I want to avoid overloading them with it, 2. I want to see how well a new/different food mixes with their current diet, 3. one of my pups is PICKY and I gotta sneak in any changes nice and slow. Surprisingly, my picky boy didn't seem to be bothered by the Pureluxe kibble whatsoever or even really notice it. So clearly, something about it is appetizing! My other pup is a garbage disposal, she'll woof down just about anything, but neither of them had any adverse reactions or upset stomachs. I did notice that when it was time for them to poop, they were less urgent "gotta go" about it that makes me wonder if there is something in this food that agreed with their digestive rhythms more than other foods. I soak my dogs' food in hot water before serving, and the Pureluxe is well suited to that! It soaks up water really well without turning into a gross, mushy mess. I also LOVE when a a great kibble doesn't stink and isn't greasy. I don't feel like I have grease or a residue leftover on my hands after touching the kibble, and I don't try to measure out cups of kibble while trying to hold my nose and face away from the bag.

All 3 dogs love the taste one has horrible diarrhea

I don’t know if it’s the pro or prebiotics in the chicken, trout, and egg recipe but I just slept 2 hours last night because one dog had terrible diarrhea from it

I don’t know if it’s the pro or prebiotics in the chicken, trout, and egg recipe but I just slept 2 hours last night because one dog had terrible diarrhea from it. One has softer stools, the other dog is unaffected. I only gave 1 tablespoon mixed with almost a half cup of their old food. So beware and maybe test it in the morning and not with dinner the first day

Small kibbles- a big hit

My dog absolutely loves this product. The size is much smaller than she is used to. Many times she leaves a half a bowl of kibbles and comes back to finish it later

My dog absolutely loves this product. The size is much smaller than she is used to. Many times she leaves a half a bowl of kibbles and comes back to finish it later. Not with this brand, she eats it all immediately. I also like the bag alot. It comes with a sturdy Velcro-like closure that’s very sturdy. I highly recommend this product.

I added this to my dog’s regular food so as not to upset her stomach with a drastic change. She liked it. Could I say she LOVED it, and begged for it like a treat? No, but I think it added interest to her meal. The kibble pieces are quite small. This didn’t bother her but is noteworthy for those whom it may be important.

I loved the ingredients in this food and the kibble size was perfect. Packaging was very nice with an awesome Velcro type closure. My pup seemed to enjoy it at first, I had to mix it in slowly since he wasn’t used to it. After a few days he started to eat around it and I was finding most of it on the floor outside of his dish. I’m still trying to get him to eat it mixed in but we shall see. It’s a great product so maybe we will try a different flavor next time!

My picky dog devoured this food. I mixed it with a bit of her old kibbles to ease her in, but she actually picked out all her old kibbles and ate ONLY these. I appreciate the size of these kibbles- about the size of a lentil- which is nice since my dog is so tiny! Definitely her new go-to food. She loved it.
