Good basic crumble feed.

I used this for my chickens - one rooster, six laying hens, and three pullets (4 months). The whole flock loves crumbles and this was no exception. They prefer this

I used this for my chickens - one rooster, six laying hens, and three pullets (4 months). The whole flock loves crumbles and this was no exception. They prefer this to their pellet feed. My rooster Guy Raz enjoyed bringing pieces of this to his girls. I can’t speak to any long term benefits of this because it only lasted a few days. However, it has the same drawbacks as all crumble feed. They make a huge mess with it and therefore there is a lot of waste. We lost a bunch in the sand of their coop. The bag also had a fair amount of dust in it which the chickens obviously don’t eat but artificially inflates the weight based product. Overall it was fine, about typical for a crumble feed. I typically reserve crumbles for young chicks.

This is one of my flock's go-to feeds, especially for young birds transitioning off of chick crumbles. My flock consists of seventeen chickens and two turkeys, so for the turkeys the robust protein percentage is critical. We also do supplement with freely offered calcium in the form of oyster shell crumble and repurposed eggshells. This feed is well loved by our birds and we've never had a single unusual health problem in the handful of years we've kept backyard poultry. Definitely recommend!

My flock has been loving these Purina Flock Raiser crumbles. They dive right in, and I really like knowing they’re getting good nutrition as the temps start dropping. With it getting colder, I feel extra good about giving them something that keeps them healthy and helps them keep their feathers looking great. It’s an easy feed to scoop, no weird smells, and my birds seem happy and full of energy. Definitely a solid choice for this time of year!
