What I love most about this, is the chunks of seafood are small, not like some of the cat food I get, with way too big slices. Plus, there is an abundance of gravy, which makes it so popular with all the many feral cats I feed. It is very costly, but the reason I got these was because of the large size. So grateful to Chewy for making this possible!!

Big Can & Lots of Gravy

Let's talk about the quality first, then the quantity. Our kitty typically enjoys a change in her diet, so I wasn't surprised to see her lap up all the gravy in the "Meaty Bits in Gravy." She took a little breather after that, and came back to finish the plate about 10 minutes later. So I'd say the Meaty Bits in Gravy are a winner. Now as to the quantity: If you are in the habit of opening three 5.5 oz cans every feeding, then this size will save you some money. However, if you normally serve just one 5.5 oz can, then you are going to have leftover cat food. And that cat food will need refrigeration. For me, it's just not pleasant to have to deal with an open can of cat food in the fridge. I suppose I should be embarrassed to admit how spoiled I've become, but I don't like having to make little tin foil "hats" to cover open cans of cat food. Friskies needs to include a little plastic cover for these cans sold by the case. Even then, for the sake of convenience, and given our needs, I would still prefer the smaller size can.

When i opened the can, surprisingly it smelled better than regular cat food. It smelled more like human food. My 2 finicky cats ran to their plates when i put it down for them. Theres seems to be lots of gravy but the meaty bits are a tad larger than they like. They’ve been happily eating it every time i serve it so i consider that a total win! The 13.5 oz is too large for us because they wont eat “leftovers” so i hope in the future they’ll make smaller cans. All in all a good a good cat food in my opinion

Friskies has always been a hit in our house. My cats love this flavor, but there’s a couple things I am not a fan of. These cans are big. Like dog food can big. They would be great for a home with a lot of cats, but I felt like I was wasting some because I was afraid after a couple days it wouldn’t be good anymore. Also; the cats like it best fresh, so for our household the smaller variety pack cans are the best. But still, not bad food! It is just a personal preference based on only having two cats.

I fed this to my two cats, one who is very picky about her foods. While it took a bit of time to acclimate to the new food, both cats were cleaning their bowls in no time. The size of the cans would be especially great for households with many cats. I didn’t notice any weird bits in the food and the chunk sizes were a good size to not worry about choking. One of my cats has had some teeth removed and had no issues eating this food.
