The Purina Pro Plan Calm & Balanced Chicken & Rice Calming Dog Dry Food is a holistic nutrition solution that has a targeted level of fish oil, which contains an optimized ratio of EPA and DHA, to support the calming effect. Calming Care supplement contains probiotic, B. longum BL999 to help maintain calm behavior.

Calm and Balanced is a complete and balanced dry dog food. Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements Calming Care is a supplement. While these products both address calming, their delivery is different, and they utilize different ingredients to create a calming effect.

Helped this dog to stop punishing my younger dog

I didn't try this food to change her energy level or intensity. She is driven but easy to live with. But she has an inclination to punish my younger male with growling,

I didn't try this food to change her energy level or intensity. She is driven but easy to live with. But she has an inclination to punish my younger male with growling, gripping his muzzle, and standing over him. As much as I can keep them apart if resources may be contested, it was still happening too often. On a whim, I tried this food. Weeks went by before I realized there had been no attacks. She was easily called off of a stare, or an approach, with one firm ' Leave It'. And she would practically shrug & go, 'oh, ok, sure'. Wow, life is good! Then local stores stopped carrying the Calm & Balanced. I slowly switched to the PPP Adult dog regular food. Added the PPP probiotic Calm powder. The attacks started again. I began separating my dogs again more frequently. Then I found Calm & Balanced on Chewy! Ordered one 16# bag, and quickly things settled back down to as before, with my female being more tolerant & easygoing. But I don't know what ill do when Chewy no longer has a supply....!!

This was such a great food!

My Stella really enjoyed this food and when they discontinued it I was bummed. After about 4 weeks without the food Stella started demonstrating some anxiety behavior

My Stella really enjoyed this food and when they discontinued it I was bummed. After about 4 weeks without the food Stella started demonstrating some anxiety behavior that I'd never seen. I'd forgotten the change in food, but to me that was proof this food was effective. I'm now exploring different cbd items, and finding a food she'll eat.

Takes the edge off

We thought this food wasn’t working so we switched to a more generic adult dog food. Apparently we’d just forgotten how extreme his energy level was before, because

We thought this food wasn’t working so we switched to a more generic adult dog food. Apparently we’d just forgotten how extreme his energy level was before, because he is driving us absolutely insane. The difference might have been gradual and hard to notice when putting him on this food, but the difference when eliminating it from his diet is stark. They can have all of my money, as far as I’m concerned. I’m ready for relative peace to return.

Big fan of Purina

I decided to try this product because it was made by Purina, a brand I trust. I have a Chihuahua that has Canine Rage disorder or the equivalent of autism. She is

I decided to try this product because it was made by Purina, a brand I trust. I have a Chihuahua that has Canine Rage disorder or the equivalent of autism. She is smart and affectionate on her terms, but is easily overwhelmed by stress when I have to pick her up, grooming, nail clipping, etc. Her stress manifests into a “fit” her eyes glaze over and as her emotions crescendo she snaps. If I’m in the way sometimes her teeth knock into my hand, graze me or outright nail me. She can be trained, just not out of this brain disorder. So I thought I’d give this food a go. Right now her food is 50/50 this food and her regular food. She’s 12 years old and it has made her calmer. She sleeps more and deeply, I hesitate to feed it exclusively. I was able to clean her ears without bloodshed. She’s somewhat more tolerant and obedient in high stress situations. It wasn’t a magical personality transformation I’d hoped for, but being able to see to her grooming needs is an improvement. Will continue it and hope for an even more chill outcome.
