We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily.
MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN
Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.

Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.
Transition Instructions
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time.
1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days.
2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days.
3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days.
4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

While I initially wondered if my dog would easily take to this new food, having given him purina pro plan sensitive skin, sensitive stomach, small bread, salmon formula - but he started eating immediately. The last two weeks he has seemed so happy each time I open the bag. He is a grazer. He enjoys doing his slow feeder food puzzle with this. Definitely two paws up!

Helped Sam by keeping him calm.
This has been discontinued much to my disappointment. I have switched to a Science Diet food for Sam. We will have to decide if it works for him.

Too many!
