Good sized dental chews for pups of all ages!

The Purino Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Orachews is a great mid-day "snack" for my pups. The large size is about 5" in length, a perfect size for medium sized dogs

The Purino Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Orachews is a great mid-day "snack" for my pups. The large size is about 5" in length, a perfect size for medium sized dogs. The dental chew has minimal smell (to humans) but has some magical pull for the canine nose. Both dogs took to them immediately. The chew itself appears to be hard, but it can be broken down easily without having to worry about damage to their teeth. Each chew lasts about 2 minutes maximum, so definitely not a long-lasting chew, but it was not meant to be one anyway. It is too soon to tell whether or not it has a substantial impact on their dental health, but the grooves on the chew appears to be helpful in clearing plagues off their teeth. The most important thing, of course, is that the dogs like it. I would recommend giving it a try!

Hailey isn’t usually a big fan of dental treats, so I was surprised by how much she loved Purina OraChews. She was absolutely obsessed with them and seemed to know when there was another half waiting for her! Hailey clearly found these chews delicious, which made giving them easy and fun. They’re firm enough to help clean her teeth but not so hard that I worry about tooth damage. Since they’re made for large dogs, cutting them in half worked perfectly, and Hailey still relished every piece. Overall, Purina OraChews were a huge hit. Hailey’s excitement made it clear these chews are something special, and I’ll definitely keep them in her routine.

While puppy is still young, we want to ensure we start dental health early to prevent any plaque or tartar from forming. My veterinarian told me to only use VOHC approved products on my dogs, so I was pleased to see these have their stamp of approval. This chew is like a hard bread consistency, so I could see this actually scraping off any tartar that forms after some time. My pup loves the flavor! My only downside to it is the higher kcal count which can contribute to weight gain after some time. Just a good reminder to keep my girl active!

Like many of you, we’ve gone through our fair share of oral chews with our dogs. Purina did a great job with these! They’re not excessively hard like some other chews, but last long enough where your dog has to take some time with it! The bag doesn’t have an over bearing smell when opening, but what I like the most is actually being able to purchasing large dog chews and there’s more then 7-10 in the bag!

The grooves on the treats and the texture are beneficial to teeth and gums, and we will definitely keep these around for our boys to enjoy. Pretty good, but lots of ingredients

These chews are ok -- Not any better than the typical oral chews out there, but not worse. I'm not a big fan of the long list of ingredients -- Some are vitamins,

These chews are ok -- Not any better than the typical oral chews out there, but not worse. I'm not a big fan of the long list of ingredients -- Some are vitamins, but some are preservatives and other unknowns. I will say that the bag they come in is hard to open. It's one of those when you tear the strip, it doesn't tear down into the bag, so it remains sealed and you have to use scissors to open it. Also, the zip closure on the bag does not work, so you can't reseal the bag. As for the chews, I have two pups, 35 & 45 lb mixed breeds. They are NOT picky eaters. They'll pretty much eat anything you hand to them. So of course they ate these although there wasn't any big enthusiasm. (One of them held hers like a cigar for a while to be sure something better wasn't coming out of the pantry.) It took them about a minute, maybe a little longer to chew them. The texture of the treats pretty firm, but not super hard -- there's a little bit of "give" to the treat. Overall, I would say they are worth trying to see if there's something that your pup loves about them. Mine were pretty indifferent.

They come in a bunch of different sizes but I ordered the larger size, great for big dogs. I like the cylinder shape. They’re pretty hard so won’t work for some
