I don’t starve my cats-honest!

But you would have thought I do if you’d seen how they reacted when I gave them this food. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, they can be a very picky bunch, but

I honestly wasn’t expecting much, they can be a very picky bunch, but when I set the dishes down all but my very fussiest of all cat dove into it and practically inhaled it. I’ve never seen them react to a canned food like this before. Even my outside friend wolfed it down like he was starving-he isn’t either. One of my cats is diabetic, so I was VERY pleased when I used the formula and found how low the carbs are. My gang-except for the one fussy boy, ate every single piece, even the rice, which I really wasn’t expecting. They love this food. It has a lot of very small pieces of meat, some grains of rice, plus a nice amount of sauce. It isn’t just a can of sauce that someone waved a piece of meat over, there is real value in this product. The picture of the two cats eating is my diabetic cat on the left with one of his litter mates trying to force his face into the dish at the same time. This was after they had all eaten their own helping and I had given them the dish from my one cat who wouldn’t touch it. I would not hold his refusal against the food at all. He’s like that with just about everything I’ve ever tried to feed him. Even as a kitten he was very fussy and he’s gotten no less fussy as a senior. Believe the rest of my cats. They can be picky now and then, but not one of them hesitated to dive right into it. Definitely try it if you have a cat that you need to monitor the carb intake.

Apparently the ocean fish flavor is very cat approved. Years ago, I had a very chunky cat who had difficulty eating any diet food or prescription food because everything was apparently awful and bland back then. It seems like prescription foods have come a long way, even these diet foods. I was surprised because when I opened the can, I tried to take a photo for the review, and my cat was like, "gimme dat diet food, stingy." It was difficult to take a photo because he kept pawing at it. Then I expected him to be like, ok, I'm done, that was gross. But he ate the whole thing. It looked similar to his regular white fish wet food, but has rice for filler which he didn't seem to notice at all. He ate his whole dinner with the same voracious gusto as he does his regular food -- although maybe he's just not as picky as my old cat was!

My little girl is picky, though you wouldn’t know it by looking at her! We’ve been on a weight loss journey for about a year now, but we’ve seen little success. She won’t eat pate nor anything other than seafood flavors so we hit the jackpot here. We’ve almost finished the case and she’s just as excited every day! The texture isn’t different than a usual chunky/shredded food with broth and I’ve already purchased another case. Be warned, it’s pretty stinky but I think that’s the way they like it!

Switching our older 18 lb cat to wet food after loosing several teeth. The food is small pieces in a liquid base. The first week she ate the entire can. As time progressed she started only eating the liquid portion. I stopped giving it to her for a few days and when I reintroduced it she once again ate all of it. Maybe if I rotated it with a different flavor she would eat it more consistently. As far was weight management it is hard to say with only a short period of time. Her weight seems fairly constant. I think using the food in a rotation with other flavors or foods could be an option for my cat.

I wouldn't call my cats picky. However, they usually just lick up all the gravy and leave the chunks. They won't touch pate. I'm already a fan of Purina. It's good

It's good quality food that doesn't brake the bank. I've never seen my cats get so excited over wet food until now. They licked the bowl clean! This was easy on their stomach. No adverse reactions. One 3oz can feeds 2 cats. My kids do get dry food also. Will 100% feed this food again.

All three can finish off a can with no help or coercion. Even the old lady foster who refuses to eat anything but junk food cleans her plate. It exceptional!
