We ordered this for dog training. Unfortunately, it is absolutely crumbly and unusable. We used to love this brand for dog training. Rosie is so disappointed. Can we return this?
About 1/4 to 1/3 of this roll crumbles into fine dust and is unusable. I thought this would be like Happy Howie's--it is definitely not of that quality.
Sorry, my poodle didn't care for this.
I tried crumbling his over her moistened kibble but she turned up her nose. I gave up after several tries. Looks like she is going to be a very picky eater I'm afraid.
Soften tasty, all of the rolls that red barn has on Chewy are flavorful and easy to cut to size I put them in a gallon freezer bag in the refrigerator once they’re cut. Don’t refrigerate until they’re open then cut up.
Disliked this roll.
My dog wouldn’t eat this. Very dry. Crumbly. Very Disappointed We love red barn rolls. Not this one
Frankie Likes It!!!
Frankie is my 80 pound elder heading to the big 15. He lost his brother last May and thought we would lose him too. We have gone through a lot of different foods, dry and canned, trying to keep him eating but after a couple meals he was not interested. He lost about 5 pounds. We are ready to open our third roll, and he is still eating and liking it. We serve a little dry with it but mostly eating the RedBarn.
Great for traveling
Like to add on top of dry dog food. Preferred smaller rolls. Liked the 3 small variety selection I was able to get before. I will have to cut this roll up and freeze it.
Suzi loves it!!!
Like many others, I used the Natural Balance rolls as treats or crumbled on top of kibble. Tried the Blue Buffalo version; but it was too gooey and now it also has disappeared from the stores. The Redbarn rolls are an excellent substitute, IMO. None of the five rolls I've tried were dry at all. I put them in the fridge upon receipt and put partial rolls in a zip-lock bag in the fridge. I'll cut a couple of medallions about 1/3" thick and slice those for treats. I'll leave the sliced portions for a couple of days in Suzi's "treat jar" and they barely get dry at all. I'll use them as a treat once or twice a day, alternating with small biscuits. I'll crumble them on top of kibble when I think Suzi is getting bored with her daily food. I'll also use warm water to help the Redbarn coat the kibble and make a little gravy. I'm pleased with the three flavors we've tried and am about to re-order for the third time!!! Two paws up!!!!
Interesting concept just tooo dry...
My dog will eat this product but only about a spoonful at a meal. This is dry, real dry. Comes out of the wrapper ike dry clay... Lizzie will eat a bit, then drink a bunch of water; to help it go down I guess... She always eats it as long as I don't put down too much but she is a chihuahua/pug mix and it would be out of the 'use by' date before she will finish it.
I have some questions
When ham bone was eating this he liked it but I noticed that he drank an awful lot of water at least two dishes ball and one day and I'm wondering why could you please explain this to me because I haven't given it to him again because I'm wondering what's going on with that he never drank this much water before?
