Redbarn Whole Grain Land Recipe Dry Dog Food, 4-lb bag

I had to stop buying Red Barn Dog Foods for poor sell by dates. Chewy did replace the bags, but the Red Barn Company policy feels like as long as it has 3 months left it’s good. 3 bags in a year that I received had less then 3 months. Any other brand I have purchased has been fresh out of the factory with a year or so to go before it is stale. Fresh food is important to me.

So far, all 4 of my dogs are loving this Redbarn Whole Grain Land Recipe food. I really like the variety of ingredients. I prefer a food with more than one protein as I think it helps reduce feeding allergies and intolerance. I also am happy with the variety of vitamins and minerals included to help my dogs have a well rounded diet. Kibble size is good for most breeds. May be a little large for tiny dogs, but our 4lb Yorkie didn't have any issues. Our dogs give this Redbarn Whole Grain Land Recipe a 5 star review on flavor. They were excited to try it and continue enjoying it daily! Overall, we're all very happy with this food and highly recommend it!

This arrived before we were ready to open it, and were still finishing off the old bag of food. Our cat, surprisingly, wasted no time ripping the bag open herself. We discovered the next morning what she had done, as she was happily eating it. Since it was already open, we decided to mix it into the little bit that was left of our current dog food, because it was different. The dog doesn't mind the change, and seems to like the new food just as much as the cat! We like that the pieces are small, which is good for our older yorkie. Thankfully, without the crinkly bag, the cat has lost all interest. The only downside so far, is that the bag didn't withstand the cat.
