Would this gate fit a 46 inch wide hallway? I see an answer saying it will go up to 44 inches and another that says the maximum width is 49.5 inches.

With extensions it would only go to 39, how do you get up to 44 inches?

The gate fully goes to 44 inches with both extensions and the pressure mount system can go up to 2 inches on both sides.

Pet gate

I really like this gate but discovered a problem. There are curves at the very bottom and top of the vertical end pickets that are next to the side frame pieces

I really like this gate but discovered a problem. There are curves at the very bottom and top of the vertical end pickets that are next to the side frame pieces. Our smallest dog was able to get her head through the bottom of one of them, then got her head stuck when she raised her head. Thank goodness my husband and I were home at the time and got her loose. My husband nailed wood 2x4 block to the door frame at the bottom sides of the gate.

stay on your side!

I just adopted a dog from the shelter & she isnt too fond of my cat and vice versa. I needed something more than a card table to block the hall way so my cat live,

I just adopted a dog from the shelter & she isnt too fond of my cat and vice versa. I needed something more than a card table to block the hall way so my cat live, eat & sleep in peace. This gate is very easy for one person to put up and doesnt require you to put holes in the wall. So far it has withstood the leaning on from the 53# Husky/Shepherd. It seems high enough (so far & fingers crossed!!) that dog wont jump over it but I have noticed the cat has made it over a few times. It really is a life saver for my cat.

Great product - but not for Elderly people

Received the Gate and put it up and it looked great. My wife and I are both 73 and bought it as we do not want our small dog to go down stairs. We didn't take

Received the Gate and put it up and it looked great. My wife and I are both 73 and bought it as we do not want our small dog to go down stairs. We didn't take into account that some older people have issues with their feet due to injuries sustained in the past and some just because they are not as careful as they need to be. My wife nearly fell down the stairs twice - catching her toe on the bottom rails. For SAFETY reasons - we are returning this item. Other than that I think the product is great and one of the best if not the only one - that you do not have to put screws somewhere in the walls to set it up.

satisfied my picky pup

My lab has always been a picky eater. We even had to change the food that the Breeder gave us. We switched to Rachel Ray bright puppy and he loved it. Of course, he can’t be on puppy food forever so we tried to switch it to the Rachel Ray adult chicken one and he did not want to eat it at all. He didn’t like seeing the big balls and just the thought of feeding him frustrated me because I knew he wasn’t going to eat it. One day my dad was watching tv and a Nutro commercial came up and I decided to check it out. I had no idea that they had small bites for adult dogs. I was so happy! They only have 30 lbs bags so I skeptical because I was afraid he wasn’t going to like it. I served him and he ate it so fast and he didn’t even realize it was not Rachel’s anymore. A huge weight has lifted off my shoulders! It is more expensive but it is totally worth it.

Very functional gate

I bought 3 of these gates for our dogs (to keep them out of various parts of our house) and they work great! They are sturdy, stay in place, and the gate latches

I bought 3 of these gates for our dogs (to keep them out of various parts of our house) and they work great! They are sturdy, stay in place, and the gate latches easily. They are perfect for our halls which are wider than most, making most gates too narrow. They are adjustable. We have medium/large dogs and they never try to jump them. The one thing I would prefer is if they were more attractive. Black with a bit more elegance would have made them perfect. But they are fine. They do their job and are the only ones I could find that would work for us. One suggestion: A photo of the adjustment mechanism would have convinced me right away that this was the right gate for us.

but it'll do the job. There's confusion around the size of the gate. It's described as Extra Wide and it isn't. I have the standar size version and this one is only

but it'll do the job. There's confusion around the size of the gate. It's described as Extra Wide and it isn't. I have the standar size version and this one is only a couple of inches wider. The description says one thing and it does not match the manufacturer pamphlet that comes with the product. Disappointed because I got this as a long term product so when we move we can keep it if we run into a larger opening but that might not be possible anymore. Also, it bends/caves in with the slightest weight/pressure where the extension is located.
