Does the door open both ways?

The gate door can open in both directions if wanted. At the bottom of the gate door, rotate the base lock to the horizontal position. To allow the door to swing open in only one direction rotate the base lock on one side. To allow the door to swing open in both directions, rotate the base lock on both sides.

Does the gate automatically close when you let go of it?

The gate does not automatically close, it needs to be pushed close and it will then automatically lock.
will this fit a 34" door?

Poor construction

My openings are 32 in top and 31 in bottom. Part of the problem is that 2 of the threaded spindle rods cannot be recessed fully into the holes they fit in. I am having to cut off about 1 3/4 in off of each of the 2 spindle rods. The bottom is too wide to attach the wall cups even though the opening is only 31 in

Puppy Gate

This Gap alert sticker?

I just received my gate. This alert on the gate is telling me "the gap between the boor latch and the frame is not a defect" then why is there a gap between the it.. help please.

Like the color anyway

Like the dark color. I didn’t need the add on panel. My rottie can paw at it and move it and get it to misalign enoug that she can pop the door open. The way the pressure mounts are needs more reinforcement. I’m going to look for some tubing to use to see if that helps.

Regalo Dog Gate

The Regalo arched dog gate is awesome. The oil rubbed bronze color is so modern and matches most decor. The gate is easy to install, and the pressure is strong enough to hold without putting a hole in your walls. If you want to permanently install the gate , it comes with the pieces to do that too. The gate swings both ways for easy access. This is an A+ product in my opinion.

Manufacturer Defect ?

I have many gates installed in various room of my house, first time experience with this one. I believe it’s a manufacture defect in design. When I installed gate securely to my doorway the latch wouldn’t operate due to the tension needed to secure the gate. When I released some of the tension so the latch would operate the gate would slide in the doorway making it not secure and leaving marks on my wall. You can not achieve the right balance of tension to properly secure the gate and be able to open the latch. Chewy very kind in accepting a return.

Best gate ever!

Should of gotten this long time ago. Love the design. Really easy access to open and swings either way. Better that the wooden ones we had to climb over to enter room.
