I think it is very good. They advertise it for 15 chicks. I don't think it is really big enough for that many. I have 9 under it, they are 2 weeks old and it fits them. I don't know if it would accommodate 6 more. I like it and the chicks seem to do well with it's heat. It does not feel as hot as a heat lamp, but the chicks are growing and seem to use it well. I am hesitant, only because I have never used anything like it before. I love my chicks and was hoping one of my hens would go broody, but no such luck. I am pleased with the brooder. The chicks are in the house now, I hope it functions as well in the coop when I put them there.

Got this to replace my heat lamp. Researched and read reviews, ended up deciding on this specific one. It is not worth all the hype imo. One of the legs broke when I was moving it out of the brooder to clean out bedding. I wasn't rough with it or anything and the leg snapped. Tried fixing it, nothing holds well. This also says it's good for up to 15 chicks, well maybe 1-2 week old chicks. But they need heat up to 7-8 weeks, and theirs is absolutely no way even my 8 chickens can fit under there right now at 5 & 6 weeks old. I was disappointed in this product.

Hard pass
Product came defective. One of the silicone rings to hold the legs was not properly installed so I was not able to insert one of the legs. Plate does not get warm

Plate does not get warm enough and to top it off the anti roost cone is made of extremely cheap corrugated plastic. If you want your chicks to die this is the brooder plate for you.
