Feeding Instructions

Bring water to a boil on stove, in microwave or kettle. Pour boiling water into a bowl and immediately stir in powder (1-part powder to 2-3 parts water). Let cool or immediately pour into mold. Gel will set at room temperature. Cut into pieces or make into a slow release Jerky. Once made, gel should be treated as fresh food and can be sealed and stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freezer for up to six months.

JERKY: Prepare gel as above, pour into deep container, and then cut gel into ¼ inch thick slices of desired size. Completely dry in Oven or Dehydrator at 150 °F (65 °C). (8-12 hours typical).

Refrigeration will extend freshness.

    Easy and pet approved!

Bought this for my bristlenose plecos, shrimp and snails. They love it and it's very easy to mix up! It doesn't dissolve or fall apart in the water (which I was worried about), and it's plenty soft enough for my shrimp to pick off of.

    By on

I had heard about this fish food for years and I finally decided to try it. It's expensive for me and I had had bad experiences with gel food before. it was worth every penny it easy to mix up and holds together great and my fish just love it. Can't wait to try other repashy flavors for my fish.

    Awesome food

I use this for Otocinclus catfish, which are known to starve easily. They love it and it keeps them with a clean and healthy source of food. It does not pollute water, has a more natural consistency, and the fish seem to really love it. Plus super easy to make!

    Awesome gel food!

    By on

I’ve been trying hard to give my goldfish a varied diet, so I decided to splurge and try repashy food, even though I’m not one to buy the expensive brands. First impression: It smells good! Well, maybe not good, but it definitely smells better than cheaper flake/pellet fish foods do. My goldfish love it, and I love that it gives me an opportunity to hand feed. It is a little tedious to prepare. Once you add the water, it begins to set quickly, so you have to work fast if you plan to put it in a mold (I made little cactus shaped gel food chunks!), but overall, this food seems fresh and healthy and I would order It again. One thing I would like to suggest is that chewy should sell more variants I’ve been trying hard to give my goldfish a varied diet, so I decided to splurge and try repashy food, even though I’m not one to buy the expensive brands. I would also love to try the goldfish repashy gel food, but chewy doesn’t carry it. … more

    awesome idea and food.

This stuff is awesome. I saw it referenced on a top magazine for Plecos. Chewy had it! And it’s amazing. Pleco food can be annoying. This is a powder you making with boiling water into a hummus type gel and then drop in a cube. The Plecos destroy it. Best method I have found too and very nutritious for them.

I've used this stuff for years and it is always a hit with the little guys. Really healthy for them-- helps them grow pretty big and help with their color!

    Super Green

    By on

My orandas has no issue telling it was food, it smells awful when you make it, but the fish love it sinks right to the bottom, If you leave it out over night it does dry up so an easy freeze dried , doesn't cloud the water doesn't make a mess in the tank even when using ice cube tray sizes.

    The clowns like it

    By on

The Three Catfish seem to pick at it too so it seems to have a good sent catcher to it. I am only leaving a 4 star due to not using it for very long.
