Not a fully wooden gate

For the price, I expected a gate that was fully wooden, but that is not the case. Only the door is wood, so what did I pay for then? I could buy the same gate in

For the price, I expected a gate that was fully wooden, but that is not the case. Only the door is wood, so what did I pay for then? I could buy the same gate in white for $80. I know I didn't pay $220 for one fake wood door and some metal slats--well, I guess I did. I do have to say, even without reinforcements to screw into the wall, it is one of the sturdiest gates. Still, all it took was one accidental hit from my 60 lb. dog for the gate to slip off the wall. For that price, it really should have come with reinforcements to screw into the wall to make it stronger. The lever on the door takes some getting used to and must be manipulated and realigned to open and close the door. It doesn't just close with a push like many gates. Still, the brown looks better than the white any day. I guess that's what I paid for!

Poorly designed gate

I hate this gate! When I go to pull up on this gate the whole gate comes out of the socket and I am left holding the gate door. Either a bolt is missing to secure

We bought this gate to block a 35" opening and it fits perfectly. It was easy to install and looks nice. True to the video, it is easily opened with one hand. There is a 1.5" bar across the bottom of the opening, which increases the gate's sturdiness, but you do have to remember to step over it until it becomes a habit. Best of all, our dog really respects the gate and has not tried to jump on or over it or to push it down.

I spent all day looking for a gate with those dimensions and I know that is what I ordered. Disappointing.

Size is not accurate

This gate seems solid, however, I haven’t been able to install it yet because the size listed is not correct. The description says it fits openings from 32.1 to

This gate seems solid, however, I haven’t been able to install it yet because the size listed is not correct. The description says it fits openings from 32.1 to 62.8 inches, but it only expands to maybe 38 inches. You need to buy extenders separately to make it bigger than a standard doorway opening. The description does not make this clear so I had to order two extender bars after I realised it wasn’t big enough and won’t get them for another week. Also, the extenders are pricey at $30 each for a couple of inches each of added length. The description should clearly state the width of the product you are getting. Very misleading.
