Transition Instructions
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

I've always heard and read that corn and meat by-product were bad for dogs. But those are the first 2 ingredients of this food. Please help me understand how, then, can this can be such good food for our Beagle?
Answer by • Sep 11, 2020
When corn has been milled properly, it is an excellent source of nutrients that are easily digested and absorbed by your pet. Royal Canin only uses meat meal and by-products that have been declared suitable for human consumption. The meat is dehydrated, leaving a concentrated source of protein that also includes many of the vitamins and minerals that are essential to the health of your pet.

My personal experience
Was recommended for my fur baby by the vet. After he started eating it his health began to decline. Weight loss, diarrhea. I took him to a different vet and at that time he was anemic as well had gone done to 14 pounds. I did switch his food to A different food but by then it was too late.

Improved Weight, Coat, and Spirit
This food is amazing! I considered it for a while because it is a pricey investment. When we got our two rescue beagles, I took the plunge. One was overweight and older and both had rough coats. After a month, the older dog was losing weight and had brightened in her mind and spirit. The younger was quite skinny and now looks well proportioned. Both dogs’ coats feel sleek and slinky with shine. I’M IMPRESSED!
