Is this suitable for a 4lb morkie (Maltese/Yorkie)?

Answer by ChewyFeb 05, 2018
This complete and balanced wet food has been specifically formulated for purebred adult Yorkshire Terriers.

For a 10 1/2 month old yorkie, how much would we feed her? Low to medium activity.

Answer by ChewyDec 12, 2019
This dog food recommends feeding your pet by weight. The recommended amount for low activity for a 4.4 pound Yorkshire is 1 3/4 cans, for 6.6 pounds is 2 1/24 cans, and for 8.8 pounds is 3 cans. If your pet does medium activity the recommended canned amount for 4.4 pounds is 2 1/4, 6.6 pounds is 3 cans, and the 8.8 pounds is 3 1/2 cans. This information can also be found in the 'Feeding Instructions' tab for further information.

Is it made in the USA?

Since my yorkie turned 15, she’s become very finicky about her food. Give had to give away a lot of high end brands. She loves this one. They nailed it when they said it’s for yorkies. So thankful; I even took her to the vet because she was not eating.

Loves the flavor

Must be the flavor. She eats it right up whereas her previous food could sit most of the day before she finally would give in and eat

Royal Canin is formulated perfectly for your breed and Yorkies are extremely particular in their diet. I have one that cannot eat enough of the kibble because of her teeth, so the wet is perfect, and her brother of course benefits!

Bailey’s Choice

Bailey loves this food. Trying to feed her a half a can each feeding with the rest being the adult bite size hard food. Worried she ignores the hard food.

When you open the can the texture is very smooth. Very easy for Lucy to swallow. It smells wonderful. My 12 year old Yorkie accepted it readily. She gets this for her evening meal and it has settled her stomach. Before feeding this, she was on another food for small dogs, , but had grown bored with it. She was getting up in the morning with stomach growling, eating grass, without appetite until much later in the day. Something in the other diet was hard for her to digest. But with this royal canin food, she has had none of that. It is much easier for her to digest and her poops look better. I had her completely transitioned in just a few days because the quality of the RC food and its soothing effect on the stomach. I like that it has omegas for healthy skin as she is sensitive to flea bites, which I am also dealing with this time of year. She has gone from 5 pounds to 5.5 pounds after being on this food for just two weeks. Its a strain on the budget for sure, but I really do feel it is worth it.

My Yorkie actually eats this.

My dog is a culinary snob. We had tried many different foods; however, he would just not eat. Nothing medical, I had him checked out. He is just very picky.

My dog is a culinary snob. We had tried many different foods; however, he would just not eat. Nothing medical, I had him checked out. He is just very picky. He even turned his nose up to home cooking. Then when I found out about Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier specialty food, I had to try it. He is finally putting on weight. We are up to 3.5 pounds for this 14 year old dog. His hair is coming back in and he has more energy.
