The food is made to help Maltese with the skin and hair but isn't made specifically for tear staining.
My dog is half Maltese and half Yorkie which one should I purchase?

This formula is intended for pure breed Maltese adults over 10 months old. I'd recommend the Royal Canin Size Health Nutrition Small Adult Formula Dog Dry Food which is suitable for dogs 10 months to 8 years between 9-22 pounds.
My Maltese has only 3 teeth left. What is the size of the kibble as she will probably swallow it whole?

The kibble for this dog food is approximately 1 centimeter in length.
Do you add water to this dog food or is it eaten dry? You have a water bowl on the packaging but no other information regarding the water.

Loves this kibble

Henry, a 3.7 lb Maltese just lives his kibble. I tried a different brand and flavor of food for him. Salmon flavor. He LOVES seafood of any type. He wouldn't touch it. So back to royal canin. It was not possible to get the Maltese kibble for 2 years. It is since been back. Just wish the larger size bag was available.

Ya... No.

Our 2 Maltese dogs will not touch this for some reason. They do eat the Royal Canin small dog dry food occasionally, but won't go near this.

It's back!

When this food wasn't available for a long time, our dog accepted a Royal Canin Small Breed Mix. But she is so picky. To use up the "small breed" I am mixing the two together. Whenever she can, she sets the "small breed" pieces aside and eats the Maltese instead. She will even take preferred pieces to hide them in the sofa.

Hard to Find

Royal Canin adult Maltese dry dog food is hard to find in the pet stores but I was able to purchase it from Chewy on line. I am very happy doing business with Chewy. They have many products that I can't get in stores. Chewy delivers to my door in a timely manner.

The ROLLS ROYCE - my Maltese spit old food out!

I have two Maltese dogs and this is our new food. I switched based on vet recommendation, but also after reading about how what humans think is “healthy” for dogs is different than what actual animal nutritionists suggest. I fed my first Maltese blue Buffalo for years and noticed recently it was bothering her stomach. We got a puppy and she could never stomach the puppy version of Blue Buffalo. It was almost like they changed their recipe?! During the transition (when you mix the foods) both my Maltese dogs spit their old food out and only tried to eat the royal canin kibble! I tried Purina Pro when we were testing dog foods and my older Maltese liked it, but my puppy still didn’t have a settled of stomach. Both times they spit the old kibble out and tried to eat only royal canin! The vet always said to transition slowly, but it was hard when they love this so much! I also recommend the puppy xsmall royal canin for puppies!
