Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

How are Royal Canin diets preserved?

All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.

  • Happy puppy

    By on

We were feeding our puppy an off the shelf famous puppy food. She ate it. Seemed to like it ok. Then started having accidents all through the night. Some people said, to my disbelief that it could be her food. I asked the vet what they fed their animals when boarded at their hotel and they told me Royal Canin. I was surprised that the cost was not much more than the brand I was using so I gave it a whirl. My puppy absolutely loves it and her night time accidents have stopped completely!! Yard clean up is much nicer too and she has so much energy I can’t keep up!

  • Made My Worries Go Away!

    By on

My puppy was very sick when I first got him. He was very underweight and had tons of worms. I put him on another brand of dog food that wasn't very good for him but didn't know it. The Vet gave me different food options to try and I decided to go with Royal Canin, and I am so happy I did. He now has the most beautiful, healthy poops I have ever seen and now he has the energy to play like a normal puppy.
