Does the open pouch have to be refrigerated??
Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2020
Canned, wet diets, once opened, need to be covered and refrigerated in a sealed plastic or ceramic container. If your pet doesn’t like cold food, try warming it to room temperature before feeding. (please note: if you use a microwave put the product in an appropriate microwave-safe container and always check temperature before feeding).

Is this food "liver friendly" as well as "kidney friendly"?
Answer by ChewyNov 11, 2020
Royal Canin meets AAFCO standards for complete and balanced dog food. For any pet with a health issue or allergy concern, we always recommend consulting with your veterinarian. They will know your pets individual needs and can help narrow down the best options for them.

Good replacement for canned food

I found this product when searching for a replacement for the Royal Canin breed specific canned food which is out of stock. My small breed dog is 14 years old and she tolerated the switch very well and she obviously enjoys this food very much.

My spoiled chichi loves this!

I have a very picky 16 year old chihuahua that won't eat any other dog food. I stumbled across this and figured i would try it. so glad i did. I see an improvement in her health and appetite. Now she is excited to eat. This food has made a observable difference. She is more playful and prances around like she used to. She loves this food. had to scale it back a bit because she started to get a bit pudgy her appetite has grown so much. I love it!

Sooooo Goooood!

My 17-yr old Maltese LOVES this stuff, and she hates EVERYTHING! Problem is, it’s always unavailable, plus the adult version, unavailable. My vet says at her age give her anything she’ll eat. She also likes the adult version of the pouches, but again, “temporarily unavailable”. This is so frustrating.

My Dog Loved it

After trying a few different wet food options, we landed on this one and my dog loved it. It helped increase her appetite as well. Great brand and option for aging pets.

Happy Dog/Happy Customer

This Royal Canin is just what I've been looking for. My 15 year old Toy Poodle has very bad teeth and my Vet doesn't want to risk putting her under to do a dental. She wasn't eating very well for quite a while but now she is eager to have her meal! And having Chewy deliver the food to my door is perfect!!

# Help my dog is heavy

My dog has gain pandemic pounds from being in lockdown. He and I stress ate for the past two years. He only ate his dry dog food during stressful times during the day. This food is great , he eats like he’s in a commercial. It stays full all day and doesn’t beg for people food much.

Substantial Overcharge

I have been ordering this dog food in auto ship for a couple of months. It has always been $24 for one box. I received my invoice for food shipped and received today and I was charged $38 for the exact same item. It is also listed in Chewy website for $24. Because of a $14 overcharge, I have cancelled my auto ship order. I can buy it at the store for $25! I was refunded the $38 and I appreciate that, but I will never do auto ship again.

Royal Canin aging small dog wet food

Daisy is a small chihuahua and is 8 1/2 years old. She gets one in the morning and one at night. She is very satisfied with the food, and I'm glad she likes it because she's so fussy.

Food for an older dog

My dog is nearly 14 years old and has lost some of his front teeth. Crunchy food is out. This product is well liked and well tolerated by my dog. I only wish it were less expensive. A box lasts just under a week so I have to supplement with other soft foods.

Doogie gourmet

My little poodle loves the soft food. He eats about 2 per day just cause he is a slow grazing eater but he definitely chows down. I wish they came in larger packages because 2 of these boxes barely last a month.
