Does the open pouch have to be refrigerated??

Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2020
Canned, wet diets, once opened, need to be covered and refrigerated in a sealed plastic or ceramic container. If your pet doesn’t like cold food, try warming it to room temperature before feeding. (please note: if you use a microwave put the product in an appropriate microwave-safe container and always check temperature before feeding).

where is this dog food manufactured? USA or Canada or Mexico??

Answer by ChewyJan 27, 2020
Royal Canin has manufacturing facilities in Missouri and South Dakota.

Is this food "liver friendly" as well as "kidney friendly"?

Answer by ChewyNov 11, 2020
Royal Canin meets AAFCO standards for complete and balanced dog food. For any pet with a health issue or allergy concern, we always recommend consulting with your veterinarian. They will know your pets individual needs and can help narrow down the best options for them.

My older babies (14 & 15yo) used to eat this everyday mixed in w/their hard food, they loved it! Then we got a couple boxes that smelled “off.” Neither of them ever touched it again after that. I had to completely change their food. To be fair, I live in Las Vegas, so maybe the boxes were exposed to the sun/heat?? IDK what happened, but something did. So give it a smell before you feed your baby. Although, mine had no problem telling me it was bad. Lol

I have been giving this to my 16 year old chipoo for the past few years and he loves it! Once he lost all this teeth we switched him over and he has eaten every bite ever since. It have never caused him issues as he does have a sensitive stomach and helps him keep his weight on. I also love that it’s easy on the kidneys as not a lot of other ‘mature’ dog wet food is.

Most favored dog food.

This is the food my elderly dog loves the most. Unfortunately, we cannot get it anywhere. I believe they are not making it anymore. So sad.

My dog loves this dog food. She has kidney disease and is prone to pancreatitis. This dog food is both low in protein and low in fat so it's been a perfect addition. I am disappointed to find out it's been discontinued. It first said it was out of stock now discontinued? It's difficult to find the right food for a dog with kidney disease. Having to search all over again for something else is disappointing. The food would be five stars but it lost a star because I can't get it anymore.
