I live in Florida and am wondering how heavy this costume is so my fur baby won't get too hot.

This costume is made of a blend of artificial materials and may gather heat around your dog's chest and neck, however, this costume has a completely open back to help your dog keep cool. This costume may become too hot for dogs who are spending prolonged periods in the sun or heat, or those that are very active.
I’m unsure if I should get a large based on these measurements: body 17 inches, neck 13 inches, chest 22 inches, he’s a little 19 pound terrier mix rescue. Any thoughts? It is only going to be on him long enough to take the holiday picture. Thanks

If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. In this case, the Large size would be the best fit.

To select the best size we recommend that you measure your dog's length, chest girth (circumference) and neck girth (circumference). To measure the length you'll measure starting at the base of the neck and end at the base of the tail. To measure the chest girth you'll measure at the broadest part of the chest behind the front legs and to measure for the neck girth you'll measure at the broadest part of the neck leaving room for two fingers. If the dog happens to be in between sizes it's then recommended to select the bigger size.
