Rubie's Costume Company is a family-owned and operated business that has worked over the years to become the world’s largest designer, manufacturer and distributor of Halloween costumes and accessories. Beginning as Rubie’s Candy Store in 1951, the company sold newspapers, comic books and novelty items. By 1959 the shop was renamed to Rubie’s Fun House and they began to experiment with new ideas such as novelty hats, costumes and accessories. Finally, in the 1970’s, the name was changed to Rubie’s Costume Company and the business truly began its journey to become the international sensation it is today. With 65 years in business, they offer a vast selection of products to celebrate all types of special occasions for everyone in the family, including your pets!
