Is the buckle metal or plastic?

The black buckle near the handle is made of plastic. The remaining hardware is made of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum including the Talon Clip, uniloop and leash adjustment slider.

My favorite leash brand simply because of the clasp mechanism. I’ve had other leashes come off when my dogs shake, so I love that these can only open if you press down on it. Would love them even more if Ruffwear came out with an easy to clean version with the same clasp. Aside from the clasp, the leash itself is very durable. Both of my dogs pull very hard at the beginning of walks and I’ve never been afraid of the leash breaking

Not what it used to be

This used to be my go to leash. No more. When I held this in my hand compared to the old ruff wear model of this, the webbing is about 50% less heavy duty. It is

This used to be my go to leash. No more. When I held this in my hand compared to the old ruff wear model of this, the webbing is about 50% less heavy duty. It is super poorly constructed and light weight. In no way shape or form with $40. Highly recommend searching out alternative options.

Sturdy, but too short when around waist

This leash makes walking so much easier & feels super sturdy, however, when it's around your waist, it really turns into a 4 foot leash, which is way too short of
