I've had a bad experience with ingredients, especially alcohol, not being listed on the Chewy website and was happy to see the label for this product matches the website description. The gloves are large and easy to use and there isn't a strong smell to it, which I like. So far so good.

My cat has been taking these vitamins for approximately 8 months. He started after being diagnosed with elevated creatinine levels. After taking these vitamins for a couple of months, his values had stabilized, and I've just heard that they've dipped back down into the normal range. I haven't really changed anything else about his lifestyle (aside from adding water to his food to help him stay hydrated), so I credit these vitamins with lowering his creatinine levels. That being said, he does have early stage kidney issues, so I have no idea if this would be effective for cats that have more serious illness. For me, this product seems to helping to nip the problem in the bud.

Not Tasty

If I put not even half of what 's recommended on her food, she won't eat it.

My cat was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease several months ago. I started him on this supplement, but waited to write a review until his repeat blood work. He has also been on a kidney friendly homemade diet. His BUN and Phosphorus levels slightly increased since starting this, but his creatinine levels held steady. However, he now has elevated liver enzymes, which he didn't have before. I'm not sure if that's related to this supplement or not, but worth the mention (the inactive ingredient is glycerol monostearate, which seems to have warnings if you look into it). The supplement itself looks and feels like tiny chia seeds, but he ate it in his food okay. I won't continue giving this to him though, as I want to see if stopping it will help his liver.

My cat still eats her food when I put the beadlets in it. So far, I like this item. It's only been a couple of weeks since she started on it, so there hasn't been time yet to see how it improves her kidneys.

I’ve tried a lot of different supplements for my 14 year old cat that has CKD because she is the most finicky thing on the planet! However, this one I mix with her moist food, and she has no problem eating it. In fact, the last checkup she had her kidney levels went down so yay!
