To Install the Gate

To Adjust your gate to fit within your doorway:

1. Ensure your gate is in the fully condensed position. (NOTE: Your gate comes preassembled in the fully condensed position.)
2. Remove plastic wrapping and dispose of properly.
3. Place handle in the "unlock" position.
4. Place gate inside the doorway with handle facing away from pets's area. Make sure the bottom of the gate is touching the floor.
5. Slide gate panels outward to fit snugly within the doorway making sure that the rubber bumpers are firmly in place on the door frame.
6. Lock into place by rotating handle all the way down to the locked position. The handle locks into the slot on the gate panel. Pull up on handle to ensure it is locked into the slot.
7. Test to be sure gate is securely in place by tugging back and forth on the top and bottom. If you've extended your gate beyond the doorway opening and/or need to re-size the gate to accommodate a smaller doorway:
8. Ensure your gate is in the fully condensed position.
9. To fully condense your gate, place gate on end, ensuring that handle is positioned on top.
10. Press handle in toward gate, and push down on top gate panel until gate is fully condensed.
11. Now follow steps 3-7 as listed above for installing your gate within your doorway.

To Release the Gate

1. Push handle down and out, then slide up to unlocked position.
2. Slide gate panels back until bumpers are no longer in contact with door frame, and remove.

To Use Memory Function

1. On fully installed gate, slide handle to 2 o’clock position.
2. The gate will now back away from the door frame just enough to allow for removal, but will not allow gate panels to slide freely.
3. Replace the gate into the same doorway, and slide handle to locked position. CAUTION: The gate should automatically fit into the doorway, but ALWAYS be sure to check that the gate is firmly secured by tugging both top and bottom. If the gate is not secure, remove the gate and re-install according to the steps previously noted in the “To Install the Gate” section.

To Clean the Easy-Fit Plastic Gate

Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth using a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not immerse the gate in water.
