Have baseboard where this pet guard is going what do I need

This retractable pet gate requires two flat perpendicular surfaces, so if you have a baseboard it would not work unless a flat surface is created.
Can this be used outdoors?

Not freestanding

This is that type of product makes you feel stupid about yourself. Not freestanding as described and chewy was not helpful with significant price dropped even before it shipped. When you messaged them with the exact order number and reason, they replied “I’m not quite understood” and “We do not price match”. Save your money and time.

Beware the dimensions

There are two ways to mount this: inside and outside a doorway. According to the included instructions, this gate fits 35” doorways if mounted inside, but only 31” doorways if mounted outside. If you want the advertised 36” width for an outside installation, you can order additional slats to make it wider (which is very easy to do). This is fine, but it should be described this way so buyers can be fully informed and order everything up front instead of finding out while installing. I’ll update the stars of my review when I can fully install the gate with additional slats.

Love this product

Got 2 of these to replace the metal gates because I didn’t like that the metal ones kept oooping out. I also didn’t like that the metal ones take up some of the space of the doorway to get through. I wanted more open space. It’s been 2 weeks and so far I love them.
