We love this gate, and have had it for quite a while. The locking piece that attaches to the wall broke. Is there a way to get a replacement part?

Solid Welds, Great Product

This is a great gate. It is iron, not aluminum, so it is on the heavier side, but not too heavy - but enough to give it some heft. The welds are solid. The plastic mounts did worry me, but after receiving and installing the product, they seem like very durable plastic, and I have no concerns about them breaking. It might be possible to open with one hand, but I find it’s easier to use both hands. Once the gate is unlatched, it swings easily and smoothly. Install was pretty easy. I put the templates above the floor about 1” thinking I’d need clearance, but it turns out the templates account for that. The result is my gate has a 4” gap under it. So if you want to close that gap, just position the template at the floor. I also used longer screws for mounting the brackets. There are no text instructions only pictograms, so it took me a couple extra times referencing the instructions. Also, initially, I just ‘tacked’ all the pieces in place (did not completely screw in all screws) until I ‘dry fit’ (tested) the fit of everything. Once I was sure everything was going to line up (gate would swing the correct direction, etc.), then I tightened all the screws. Once the gate is installed, it only opens one direction, so that needs to be decided before installing it. I like the look of this gate and height of this gate; I’m not worried about my Viszla puppy jumping it - yet. :)

Best gate on the market
I've had this gate for 2 years and I use it daily. We used to have 5 dogs in the home and 1 didn't get along with a couple, so I purchased this gate to keep them
I've had this gate for 2 years and I use it daily. We used to have 5 dogs in the home and 1 didn't get along with a couple, so I purchased this gate to keep them separate vs. Crate and rotate. When I have company over I just heard them all into the livingroom behind the gate. The only thing I've ever had to do with this gate is tighten bolts after about a year of daily use. All my dogs are large and this gate is perfect height. Very sturdy because it is bolted right onto the walls and my dogs have tested that on a daily. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Poor quality
I replaced a Regalo gate with this one for the extra height and the contrast in quality was stark. It was much more difficult to install. I think the blueprint was

I think the blueprint was a little off, enough to have to drill and redrill holes just millimeters apart. There was also a piece of metal that hadn’t been shaved off, which got in the way of screwing in a bottom piece. It’s also very heavy and difficult to open and close so is not good for a trafficked area. Would not recommend. I’d be interested to see if there is a better quality gate of this height out there.

Drywall alone is not enough, unless appropriate anchors are used. For me, the screws were too short to pass through the drywall into a stud. I replaced them with a 2” wood screw and the gate is very solid.
Barely works
You have to very careful opening and closing the gate. If you do it too fast may pinch finger as it slides down when closing and may just lift completely off lower

The top latch using a small spring and a plastic cover to hold it in. The whole locking mechanism is cheap and also you have to align it perfectly to slide into brackets.

Unfortunately the only negative comment as I don’t care for the way the gate opened, you have to lift up and press at the same time. This is a heavy gate. This is a room we seldom go into, so it’s not a problem and it does keep the dogs out. Plus gate swings either way.
Waste of $$
