Details
Selamectin topical solution is FDA-approved for use in dogs 6 weeks of age or older. It has also demonstrated efficacy against nasal mites, as well as for treatment of cheyletiellosis and cordylobiolosis (cutaneous myiasis). Selamectin topical solution is also FDA-approved for use in cats 8 weeks of age or older and, aside from normal indications, has demonstrated efficacy in treatment of notoedric mange, sarcoptic mange, cheyletiellosis, and Lynxacarus radovskyi infestations as well. Selamectin is also used to treat a variety of ectoparasites (eg, ear mites, mange) in birds, ferrets, rabbits, and guinea pigs and heartworm infection in ferrets.

Follow the directions provided by your veterinarian. The recommended minimum dose is 2.7 mg selamectin per pound (6 mg/kg) of body weight.
