Highly recommended. There's a foam egg crate in the base and lots of polyfill in the surround. The cover's external zipper makes it easy to remove the base. Once open, the polyfill channel is accessed by an internal zipper. Cool design. Our girls love this snuggly bed. We put it on the sofa with the opening toward the sofa's back, so now there's room for everyone to be cozy together--including the humans.

Quilted surface is nice; removable cover-up, plus

The bolster does not have removable filling. The orthopedic part looks just like normal eggshell foam, which was disappointing. This piece is completely removable,

The bolster does not have removable filling. The orthopedic part looks just like normal eggshell foam, which was disappointing. This piece is completely removable, but the poly fill in the bolster is loose making the bed bulky to throw in Home washer. These are definitely dog beds that I will have to take to the laundromat. I was looking for a replacement for SERTA orthopedic foam beds. I currently have for my senior dogs. Well, this bed is acceptable for the price my previous SERTA dog beds were much higher quality.

So far this bed is withstanding the demolition only a velociraptor-puppy can create. She carries it around, shakes it aggressively, and then promptly falls asleep
