Excellent so far

I got this a few days ago and so far I'm very impressed. The suction is strong, it has a carpet setting and my carpets have never been cleaner! The stick is detachable

I got this a few days ago and so far I'm very impressed. The suction is strong, it has a carpet setting and my carpets have never been cleaner! The stick is detachable and it came with a brush tool and a crevice tool. There are a couple of things to be aware of, if there are long hairs on the floors, the hair wraps around the bottom roller and will have to be cut out and the dust cup may have to be emptied frequently depending on how dusty, furry, dirty your floors are. My 3 cats generate a lot of fur balls! It is noisier than my canister, none of these things for me are deal breakers. I've been wanting a stick vacuum for it's convenience but always thought they were too expensive ($400 and up) and that the cheaper models were not as good. That is not true with this Shark model, it's powerful and it's working out better than I expected so far.

Emptying the dirt tray

The vac itself works well and Chewy did a great job getting it to me quickly. However, I didn’t realize until I used it that in order to empty the dirt tray u actually

The vac itself works well and Chewy did a great job getting it to me quickly. However, I didn’t realize until I used it that in order to empty the dirt tray u actually have to unplug it from the wall to carry it all to the garbage can if the cord isn’t long enough to reach. Just to vacuum my house I had to unplug it and replug it in 3 different times to be able to empty the dirt tray. Very inconvenient, I’m sorry to say.

I cannot recommend this vacuum because it does not stand up on its own, unless you detach the top part. It is too top heavy and falls down - not good for porcelain

Not good going between floor and carpet heights

This is nice for vacuuming bare floors or a carpet but it is terrible about the edge of the carpet and floor. The base bends unhelpful at the edge and anytime it

This is nice for vacuuming bare floors or a carpet but it is terrible about the edge of the carpet and floor. The base bends unhelpful at the edge and anytime it is angled. My kids love it and it is easier for them to use over an upright vacuum because they are short and lowering the handle doesn't tip the vacuum base away from the floor where is loses suction. Its good for certain jobs but not good as an all in one vacuum
