Cats love it - but so hard to open!

I've discovered that most of my 13 (yes!) rescue kitties absolutely love this food - both the tuna and the salmon flavors, and I'll continue to purchase it for them until they change their minds - as cats will do! But although the food is great, getting it out of the little containers is *really* difficult, especially if you have slightly arthritic fingers like lots of us old cat ladies! The glue used to hold the foil lid down is really strong! I've come up with a method that uses a special grippy jar opener material, and sometimes I can get the little tab wound around a small spoon handle and then open it like the old sardine cans that had keys. To Sheba - great job on the food, but please go back to the drawing board for the packaging! Serious about maybe adding a little longer tab? That would help!

This is very good food and cats love. I really like that its a small no-waste portion size and I use it to top-off other food. It helps them eat some of the other food they are no so excited about. One thing .. It is hard to open. I think they should make the end tab larger perhaps the full with of the container, rather than the small tab it has now. (I may try the suggestion of another customer and cut it open with a knife rather than try to grip the small tab provided) All in all its a good product and I have added it to my auto-ship so that I will always have some. Product is a tad pricey but the cats eat it all and there is no waste. Thanks Chewy ...

Sheba perfect portions

I always buy fancy feast broths for me cst Harpo. I thought I would change his food variety and buy Sheba. My Harpo really liked it but unfortunately he passed away today. He was 20 years old and had a long life but we will miss him so much.

Sickenly Sweet Smell, when opening box

I opened the box to see dried food on the outside of the separate serving trays and a sickeningly sweet smell coming from it...had to toss the whole pack out. This was my first time ordering the fish multipack from Sheba.

Loved by all

Any Sheba, pate or cuts, is almost always loved by most. Sure, sometimes they just have to be cats, but sometimes they all really, really like something & that’s the case w/this tuna!

Yummy Cuts

It's hard getting the Sheba salmon cuts in the stores. My Blanche loves it in the mornings. Once again, Chewy came through having this product to buy. Thank you.

Cats love this

All three of my cats love this food. Especially the shredded over the pate. I agree with others that I wish you could get a more of a variation in the chunky/fish flavors plus a larger box.

My Cats Love It

We tried Sheba when our regular cat food became hard to find. We are happy with the quality. Our cats are happy with the flavor!

good stuff

This is the only wet food Teddy will eat. To have to use 50 characters is ridiculous. It causes me not to leave reviews that I would have left otherwise!!!!

My picky eater

I adopted a very scared 2 year old cat from the local shelter 5 years ago. I didn't know anything about her health or prior home life, per the previous owners request. She suffered with diarrhea from day 1 & after several false diagnoses by the shelter vet, I began researching & realized she could not tolerate grain, which is in many cat foods. She is also a glutton who will eat everything that is put out for her, throw up & then eat more. I placed her on a diet, per our vet & she can only have 1/4 C. of dry food in am & 1/4 C in eve. She eats grain free dry food 7 days a week & Sheba perfect portions 2 x week at night only. On the nights she has Sheba, she doesn't get her dry food. I buy the Multipack because she absolutely loves the roasted chicken & tuna. I accidentally ordered the salmon & tuna. For those who thinks it smells bad, imagine what they would eat if they were an outside cat. It wouldn't smell like filet mignon. I've read the reviews about how hard the container is to open. Here's a tip for you. Don't worry about pulling the tab back as your fur baby doesn't care how it's opened as long as she gets the wet food. Take a knife & cut around the inner rim & pour it into their bowl. If you have a plastic spoon & want to get every bit of gravy out, use the handle to scrape it out. Wash the handle & it's ready for the next time. Either that or do like I do & use a baby spoon to get everything out of the package. I had several, for when my grandkids were little. If you don't have one, buy one as they aren't expensive. It may look like a small portion to you, but it is the recommended portion per my vet. Cats should only be given between 1/3 C to 1/2 C per day (not serving). Even feeding her the proper portion sizes, she still wasn't losing weight. I would soon find out why. One night I heard a strange noise in the kitchen & when I turned on the light to investigate, I had a good laugh. There was my fur baby with the lid removed from her dry food container & her head buried in the container, gorging on her dry food. I'm still amazed that she figured out how to open the lid as it has a 4 way closure. I recently purchased another container, with measuring cup & snap on lid. She hasn't figured this one out (yet). My family & her vet are happy that she is finally losing some of the fat & is almost to her goal weight of 7#. I'm really happy because with her weight gain, it was hurting my legs. She's been insecure from day 1 & must touch me with her front paw, whenever she is near me as well as sleeping with part of her body on 1 of my lower legs.
