Do you recommend it for spayed indoor cats or not?

Cats cannot be allowed free access to food after being spayed or neutered. Instead, they should be offered several, measured meals throughout the day, and the size (caloric content) of those meals adjusted to maintain a slim body condition. For a complete list of feeding recommendations, click the “Feeding Instructions” tab, next to the “Nutritional Info” tab, just under the product photos. These are general guidelines, and we recommend consulting your vet as well about any dietary changes for your pet.

Where is this food made? On Sheba’s website it says “most” of their products are made in the US but some are made in Thailand & Austria. But doesn’t specify what products are made where.

The Chicken variety contains approximately 0.91% Carbohydrate content on an as fed basis (4.27% on a dry matter basis) and the Turkey variety contains approximately 0.71% Carbohydrate content on an as fed basis (3.17% on a dry matter basis).

It is so easy to give my fussy cat one little container at a time, rather than opening a 3 oz can and taking out half of it. Then having to cover the open cat for an hour or two seems to me that it can start to breed bacteria. And I often forget to come back in 1-2 hours... If I give my baby the full 3 oz can he might regurgitate it because he ate too fast. I admit that I like the twin packs but I do also buy 3 oz cans.

First time buying Sheba anything. Three stars because the cats love the gravy, but they leave the "meat" behind. I'm not sure what the meat is but it's that standard rubbery nugget we've come to expect in manufactured wet cat food. The chunks stay in the bowl all day. I try adding some water, or gravy, to moisten them to no avail. The cats just lap up the water or gravy and leave the mystery chunks behind. Please just give me a can of gravy haha. I've been buying the gravy pouches from a different brand and the cats like those.

I don’t have to deal with half used cans sitting in the fridge, and there’s way less mess overall. The trays are easy to open, the food looks fresh. If you want something convenient that picky cats will actually eat, this is a solid choice.

About a year ago my 1 yr old Logan began refusing to eat the canned wet food that he'd grown up eating. His Dr wanted him to eat both dry and wet, so I bought a number of different brands and varieties. And ended up giving it all away. Argh!! Then I bought one little twin pack of Sheba cuts in gravy...Voila! He gobbled it right up and the rest is history. He doesn't care for the pate, but the Bistro (his favorite), Cuts in Gravy and Gravy Indulgence get 4 thumbs up from us! And, I'm grateful that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's only about $1.20/day!
