This dental water additive seems to be flavorless as my cat and dog drank it no problem. I've included before / after pictures of my dogs teeth, I didn't really notice much of a difference in her tartar. My dogs breath however does seem to be slightly better but she still does have times her breath is bad, but could be she ate something from the yard. I'd have to say that for the amount that you get and have to use per dosage I'm quite disappointed. The bottle didn't even last a month with just my dog (40 lbs) mainly drinking the water. I suppose if you get a pet dental done on your animals maybe its is more effective with preventing tartar / makes it so they aren't needed as often or at all (saving money in the long run) but just seems quite expensive if having to buy a bottle a month or more. I do like that there aren't any unnecessary additives like dyes, parabens, etc and that it is VOHC accepted. Maybe if used longer than a month it would have greater benefits or more of an improvement would be noticed.

Vet recommended AGAINST this

we tried this product at half the recommended dose to start. After seeing other reviews that it can cause vomiting and diarrhea for sensitive dogs, I called my veterinarian

we tried this product at half the recommended dose to start. After seeing other reviews that it can cause vomiting and diarrhea for sensitive dogs, I called my veterinarian and she recommended we discontinue use as the risk is not worth it and they have seen no discernable benefit from products like this. I firmly believe in the importance of relying on my vet and trusting her opinion so we discontinued use right away. Interestingly enough, reviewing the label closer, there is a warning to keep the product out of reach of children and pets! If I had noticed that first I would not have even opened it!

Dogs wouldn’t touch it

I wish that I had something good to say about this, I’ve loved every other Skout’s Honor product I’ve ever used. I can’t even speak of the efficacy of this product

I wish that I had something good to say about this, I’ve loved every other Skout’s Honor product I’ve ever used. I can’t even speak of the efficacy of this product because not a single one of my 6 dogs would touch their water with this in it. They went an entire day without drinking, and immediately drank after I dumped the water that had these drops in it. Maybe it will work for other dogs, but it definitely has some sort of taste or scent for my dogs to refuse it and my dogs aren’t typically picky.

The cat also seems to enjoy it. I found her laying in the water bowl when it was empty! I also love how the measurements don't have to be exact!

Altho I couldn't see or smell any difference after adding Skout'sHonor to their water, neither my dogs nor kitties would drink it. I'm sure it would work great for dogs & kitties that aren't as picky about their water as mine! They're not super picky about food, but they are about their water. I'm sorry it didn't work for us, I do think it's a great idea.

I was honestly skeptical about how well this would do with the stinky breath of my THREE large dogs (one pittie, two pittie/GSD mixes), but this surprised me in a very good way. One big squirt of this in their water bowl, and they didn't notice any difference in their water. I did notice their breath went from "lawd hammercy" to "hey, you don't stink!" within a few days. I highly recommend this!

One dig liked it, one didn’t.

One of my dogs drank the water no problem. The other one went to his water bowl a couple of times but didn’t drink any. I didn’t smell anything so I don’t know

Worth a try!

I wasn't sure what much this was going to do, but was pleasantly surprised. I have 6 cats and two 2 dogs and none of them had a problem with drinking the water once

I wasn't sure what much this was going to do, but was pleasantly surprised. I have 6 cats and two 2 dogs and none of them had a problem with drinking the water once added. The 16oz bottle I got to try only lasted about a week because of how many I have, but did start to notice my dogs teeth looking a little better so just bought a 32oz bottle.

My dog can't tolerate consuming this.

Unfortunately I cannot give this product to my dogs. After drinking it my dog immediately throws up. They've had a different version of this that was the bacon flavored

Unfortunately I cannot give this product to my dogs. After drinking it my dog immediately throws up. They've had a different version of this that was the bacon flavored and tolerated it. Unsure why the flavorless one is so unsettling on his stomach but I cannot recommend this product. He has no other known food intolerances that I've encountered.
