Unreliable Packaging for a Pet Food Product
I recently received the Small Pet Select Young Guinea Pig Pellets, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the condition of the product when it arrived. The
I recently received the Small Pet Select Young Guinea Pig Pellets, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the condition of the product when it arrived. The food box itself was taped up and had shipping labels stuck directly to it, which I had to peel off just to see what I was dealing with. There is no visible manufacture date or expiration date anywhere on the package, so I have no way of knowing how fresh this food is, or how old it might be. The box was also poorly sealed, and dust from the pellets was leaking out through the corners. It honestly looks like this package has been sitting around in a warehouse for a very long time. Because of that, I do not feel comfortable feeding it to my guinea pig. I won’t even give it a trial because it arrived in such questionable condition. I appreciate Chewy’s usual reliability, but in this case the product presentation and packaging left me very uneasy. For something as important as food for a small pet, freshness and safety should be guaranteed, and I just didn’t get that assurance here.

I have been feeding a different top brand for years. My girls had no issue switching to this food and rushed to the bowl in excitement! I was a little disappointed

I was a little disappointed to see it came in a box with no inner packaging. I get concerned for bugs or other foreign matter getting into my babies food. If it wasn’t for that I would have given 5 stars.

This year our guinea pigs ended up having baby guinea pigs so I was excited to try this new young guinea pig food. They seem to like it. It comes in a box instead

Since my guinea pigs can't talk, I can only go off the fact that they ate all the pellets I put in their bowl! No complaints from them! The ingredients are food

Good quality guinea pig food.
I used this product for our 1 year old guinea pig. He does seem to like just as much as his usual pellets. I will say that the pellets seem to be a bit more dry

Definitely a good product for Guinea pigs
My Guinea pig seems to enjoy this food. As soon as i put it in his bowl he started to eat right away. He kept going back and grabbing more out of the bowl
