I'm a fan of SmartCat products, and like their grass seed litter, but this stuff is far from ideal - for my cats anyway... Pros: Economical, good odor control especially for being scentless, natural. Clumping is great. Cons: Sand and remnants of sand everywhere. This stuff tracks like nobody's business. Invisible dust that sticks. It seems dustless, and it kind of is, until your cat brushes up against the side of the box and you see how it isn't. I have a two litter mats. A huge one at the box and another at the doorway of the room where the box is at. I have a robot vacuum I run everyday on my hard floors, and I sweep a couple times a week - still I'm stepping on litter constantly. I find it in my bed, it haunts me... It leaves a fine layer of dust behind that adheres itself to whatever object it touches, it's become intrusive. I groomed one of my cats front paws, thinking trimming the fur might help, which it may have, but not enough - likely because both of them needed it done to make a noticeable difference. I don't recommend this litter if you have long hair cats because you will find it everywhere. If you have short haired cats that don't dig in their box, it may be worth a shot.
I've used the grass version of this litter for years and loved it except in the warmer months I had an issue with moths hatching from it. With the new corn/wheat version, I no longer have that problem. I love it because it is lighter than typical clay litter with almost zero dust...that has to be healthier for my cats to breathe. It is also a softer litter and easy on the paws. Of course the best part is that my cats love it.
