Where is power button?
Answer by ChewyDec 24, 2018
There is a button on the side of the ball to power it on. Please see below for a reference.

Does this one have auto-turnoff like the original one has?? We have the original, still works but is pretty banged up. I don't want to have to turn it off each time. Thanks.
Answer by ChewyMay 19, 2019
This toy does have an automatic shut-off feature as well as a button to turn it on, speed it up or turn it off.

Can you buy replacement tassels
Answer by ChewyJan 28, 2019
At this time, replacement parts are not available for this toy.

Will this turn on/start on its own? Or will it only do so if someone presses the power button?
Answer by ChewyDec 19, 2020
The Twirly Top Electronic Mini Motion cat toy needs to be turned on with the ON / OFF button. It features an auto shutoff which turns the toy after 10–15 minutes of play but it does need to be turned on to operate.

Not Impressed

The concept for this toy is great for my three boys. However, from the second I started it, I wondered if something was wrong with it. It made noises like it was supposed to be turning but wasn't. After about 10-12 attempts, it would finally spin. The spinning would happen maybe 4-5 times and then go back to just making the noise and not moving. My boys would sit and watch it but nothing would be happening...just noise. I thought it was a battery issue so I swapped batteries. That didn't fix it. After watching the video on how this toy is supposed to operate, I think I got a dud. :(

Not For Evie Awnry

I got 2 hoping that having both going at the same time, she would really like the crazy play because her favorite toy is my german shepherd puppy. But Evie liked them for about 5 mins. Their slow and not challenging for her enough. I got bored watching them myself. The batteries died really quick too. After 2 days with only 2, 3 times a day. They didn't play long either. There needed to have a timer and speed switch. I liked that the streamers were durable and wouldn't have torn up or fall apart from her attacks. They seemed to be well made and have a nice weight that she couldn't throw it and break it or carry it off and lose it. There was also that if you didn't put it down easy enough, they shut off.

Faulty Electronic Toy

I don’t mind having to change the batteries on a cat toy after only a few hours of cat use. What I do mind is a toy that stops working, even when new batteries are added. Wasteful.

Interesting Cat Toy

My cats watch it but do not chase it or knock it around as I hoped. I think other cats may love it. It doesn't move around as much or vary location as I hoped. My cats are fussy but one is older and one is not two yet and both do play with some toys with enthusiasm.

Simple, Cute, Easy to Use

My kitten plays hard with this sometimes, it really depends on his mood. it’s great for distracting them and encouraging individual play. Very simple toy that will at least mesmerize them for a few minutes.

This is my 8 year old cat Fig’s favorite toy, he plays with it when it’s on or off all times of the day and night. I’m here to buy another one over a year later!

Look at the dead thing, kitties!

Now if this thing worked, it would be fun, as we'd something similar: previous was like a golf ball ball with a multi-colored mohawk. And they carried it arou¹nd in their mouths after it had fallen from tables a few too many times?.

The one I bought 2 years ago from a local store still works fine but the exact one I bought from Chewy sucks.

I've tried this on tile and carpet, and it doesn't work that well on either. It gets stuck in the grooves between the tiles, or it spins really slowly on carpet. Either way, it moves really slow and doesn't leave about a 1ft area. By the time my cat is done staring at it and maybe thinking about picking up his paw to bat at it, it shuts off. I do like the auto-off function to save batteries, but I wish I could turn that feature on and off. Not a hit in our household.

Twirly Top Motion Ball

My cats love it! It is pretty large and quite heavy. My cats pick it up and drop it, loud. The battery doesn't last as long I think it should. Make it lighter and rechargeable. I'm sure I'd buy that type.
