No toy is indestructible. Supervise your pet when using since small parts can present a choking hazard or internal blockage. Discontinue use if the toy is damaged. Keep out of reach of children Note: Cats usually begin to appreciate catnip between 6 and 8 months of age. Use no more than a few times per week for maximum kitty fun. To keep catnip fresh, store in a safe, cool , dark place. Catnip is an herb that grows naturally in the environment. We recommend catnip be used exclusively by cats. It is not intended for human consumption. Monitor play.
This is not good for cats that will aggressively scratch the pad because unlike others I have, there are no tabs at the top edge that lock the pad in place. My one cat had the pad pulled out of the holder in less than 5 minutes. Other than that, the ball in the ring is a hit.
We didn't think our new family member would go for it, but he super enjoys sitting in the middle of it to bat at the ball. The top portion clips in so you could easily use a screwdriver to unclip it if you wanted to change out the ball or something. The default ball rattles more than jingles, and has openings the right size to put small kibbles into if we wanted to make it more exciting for a more food - motivated furball. I should mention on a safety note that I have seen him get a claw hooked in the ball at exactly the same time that he was doing a somersault roll off of the toy so there is an ability to get caught, but that's a risk with almost any toy when cats haven't learned to retract their claws yet. It did ship in waaay too much packaging. A box in a bunch of paper filler inside another box that is roughly double the product dimensions. I do appreciate though, that all of the superfluous packaging was at least paper based instead of plastic or foam, and safe for kitty to play with!
My cats loved this. BUT there are no tabs to keep the cardboard disk in. The disk inside is not quit 10 inches and will come out. When you replace the disk make sure you use a 10 inch cardboard disk you get from chewy. It will fit very tightly and stay in when your cat scratches on it. Iv'e did this and boy are my 5 kitty's happy with this product!!!
One cat loves it sooooo much. The other cat lays across it so the one cat can't have fun. He's just mad he can't destroy it. He tries to remove the ball, but it's in there good. It gets played with day and night. It's cool there are replacement scratch rounds. They both enjoy that part.
This is so much better than I ever expected it to be! Both of my cats love it, one of which dislikes most toys. He will actually lay across it in a show of ownership....but that doesn't last long, as he can't resist playing with it. I LOVE it!
I have had similar toys before and with this one the cardboard was destroyed within two days. The cardboard is not held in well enough
Put some catnip on it and cat immediately tried it out. I have an adult cat and he enjoyed both the scratcher part and playing with the ball (which makes some noise). Happy with this.
So, Chewy uses FedEx as their means of shipping. Nothing against Chewy for that, I'll just forever talk bad about FedEx. FedEx has a tendency to beat the snot out of their boxes. I'm so thankful that this is essentially indestructible. My girls have also absolutely lost their minds playing with these.
Love it. My cat used to have one and she would go bananas on it. So far she hasn’t show much interest I think it’ll take some time. But it is way bigger that I thought it was going to be! Love the little cat nip it came with. My cat could smell it through the wrapping paper lol. Was useful to get her used to her new window perch as well. 10/10
The scratching cardboard center is pretty much useless and a waste. It didn't last two days. The kittens pull the entire thing out and they only used the center to scratch on. There isn't anything in the design to keep the scratcher in place. To be honest here I like the Bergen turbo much better. The cardboard scratcher stays inside the center as it has tabs to hold it in place. The cardboard is better made and lasts a long time. If Frisco would redesign their's it would be great.
