Do the sojos simple lamb dog treats need refrigerated?
Answer by ChewyMay 05, 2020
The treats do not need to be refrigerated.

Where are your ingredients sourced?
Answer by ChewyDec 07, 2021
They currently source about 90% of their ingredients domestically. Sojos has one of the most strict sourcing criteria of any pet food manufacturer. All ingredient suppliers, whether domestic or international, need to meet certified nutrient levels and be manufactured in quality audited facilities. While there are many high quality ingredients available in the U.S., in some cases there is not a readily available U.S. supply. For example, the lamb and venison is sourced from New Zealand & Australia. They feel that they have the appropriate quality programs in place at all their vendor locations and feel safe and secure with all the ingredients they source, whether they are sourced locally or globally.

What part of the lamb are these treats made from?
Answer by ChewyOct 23, 2020
Sojos Simply Lamb Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Treats use the heart unless specified differently.

Do they have Sojoes feeese dried in chicken flavor?
Answer by ChewyJul 21, 2020
Currently chicken flavor is only available for the dry dog food and food topper.

Not for every dog

Both of my dogs had terrible reactions to this. They don’t eat lamb food so I only gave them a two treats during training so I could ease them in. I have never seen such explosive diarrhea in my life. It was terrible. Our puppy (giant breed mix) had watery bowels for over a week and our 2yo pitbull was miserable for 2 days. I think whatever is used to preserve or during freeze drying was the big issue.

Not Simply Lamb

My dog loves these. I was using them as training treats until I realized they are not just simply lamb. The picture on the site shows the ingredient listed as lamb only, but the package received, list green tea extract as one of the ingredients. I was wondering why my dog was panting so much on walks…

Yummy topper

Sojos simply Lamb treats is a nice topper to may dogs regular food. They also like the simply turkey freeze dried dog treats.

Excellent training treat for small dogs

Perfect training treat for little dogs. Pieces are about the size of a pea. Larger pieces are easy to break in my hand. It's a single ingredient meat product. The pieces are dry and clean in my pocket. And...high value, yummy treat! My food- crazy toy poodle will pass up cheese bits for these treats.

Too Greasy

These treats are attractive to my pup but not to me. They break up into tiny pieces that have a soft, greasy interior. In spite of being “ freeze-dried,” these aren’t as easy to carry in a pocket or pouch as some other training treats.

Great treats and Training Treats

We use these treats for training, on walks, and as a reward after nail trims! Our dogs LOVE these. (We’ve had all the different flavors and they like all of them.) My only feedback for improvement would be to try and make the pieces a more consistent size. Sometimes you get a huge piece, sometimes smaller, sometimes an average sized piece. As you get down in the bag, the treats get more crumbly and you are basically giving crumbs which can be annoying.

Raw Lamb Toppers

Beau just loves these. He seems to like most raw foods because they are crunchy.

Ingredients differ on bag

The site currently lists the only ingredient as "Lamb". However, the bag I got lists ingredients: Lamb, Mixed Tocopherols added to preserve freshness, Rosemary Extract, Green Tea Extract. My dog is on a limited ingredient diet and can only have lamb. My vet said these other ingredients would not be an issue for his diet, but I think it is worth mentioning in case buyers are looking for something truly single ingredient. I'm fine with the size of these as training treats and the quality seems ok (I'm no expert on raw organ treats). My dog accepts these but unfortunately doesn't find them as high value as I'd hoped. He likes things to be extra crunchy and these are poofy but not very crunchy the way that some other freeze dried treats are. We are going to try another brand of Lamb treats (lung) next and hope he is more excited about those.

Fabulous treats

We've tried these in almost all of the proteins and they are great. Real meat in small bites. We used them as training treats when Pearl was a pup. We use them as reinforcement now and I even sprinkle some on her food to add some interest.
