My 2.5 YO Turkish Angora / Maine Coon mix loves this. She's a "meat and potatoes" kind of person who doesn't care much for variety. She cares about pleasing her personal taste bud and this Indigo Moon recipe gives her plenty of energy for running, jumping, and climbing. The chicken and eggs flavor hits her "nails in the bread."
My cat just loves this high protein, gluten free, dry cat food. I always have to order in advance, because I'm in big trouble if I run out. My cat will even try to chew the bag when it arrives, because he knows it's his favorite.
I’ve been testing different high protein foods for our senior girl and this one is her favorite out of dozens. She is thin and high protein is important to help her keep her lean muscle mass. My friends’ kitties like it too.
I have really been liking the solid gold chicken and egg but something is definitely different about this last bag, my cats are throwing up whole pieces, why can’t companies leave a good thing alone, I’m reading reviews and seeing the same thing, I guess I’m lucky it didn’t make it past the tummy, already ordered something else, Purina one
Changing to a higher quality cat food has made a significant improvement in my little guy's coat
My two cats loved this food for years. Now it seems the formula has changed, and the kibble is also larger than before. One of my cats will no longer touch it. The other grudgingly eats it if I give him a few pieces at a time. Too bad. Off to search for another good dry food.
I bought this because it is advertised as grain free, high protein, good for health etc. It gave my cat really bad constipation and his stools were dry and yellow. It's ingredient list has potatoes and peas in the first five ingredients, both are high carb. So sure, it is grain free, but it has carb-y plant based fillers. Plant materials in food causes alkaline urine in cats, which gives them a higher chance of getting crystals. I wish I knew about this before purchasing this overpriced and deceiving food. I don't know what to do with the leftover food. Sure wouldn't be giving it to my cat.
My cat loves Indigo Moon chicken and egg crunchies more than life. She recommends other cats try it.
Switched to this food hoping to help my cat recover from a bout of pancreatitis that made her lose a couple of pounds. She liked it. This, along with high calorie supplements, helped her gain it back. Now that she’s better, however, she’s having a lot of issues passing her stool. She’s straining longer and her stools are harder and drier than they’ve ever been before. We just got back from the vet, who prescribed a laxative to help her out. Turns out high protein food can lead to hard stools, abdominal pain, AND kidney issues. I’ll be switching again.
My 17 indoor cats have been eating this cat food as if it was the only catfood on earth. They are ignoring their Blue Buffalo completely. I can't believe how fast they are going through a bag! They do still eat their Solid Gold for sensitive stomachs thank goodness!!
